I'm having the same problem. I replaced the IAC with a brand new one and it still did the same, idle when I start the car is about 1100 after a bit of driving the car it goes up to 1500 to 22-2300 give or take, if I tap the gas pedal it will drop down to 1100 or so but will rises again when you...

that make no sence.. if the faper is open you will get no boost.... test it

i had the same problem and found out that the knob on the mbc was broken inside the mbc (it was a tine piece) try to take it apart and if you can get to the ball and spring then its good but it won't hurt to look ... hope this helps
