That's a low blow my friend!:cool:For a Daily I'd trust the all season group. Do some Car and Driver All Season run off research, results and make your own decision.
Get a FP cast mani, ported with a 38mm Tail external flange include a blank off plate.
Good, cheap reliable, upgradable old school mani that is ready for 500+ HP and will take the punishment.
I've talked to other local E-85 users with the same issue- goo......I'll stick with C-16.Good Luck with solving the problem, hope you find the answer to the goo mystery.
Metal tanks must be coated with epoxy or moisture drawn in by the E-85 will rust the inside of the tank, then you would have some issues. The goo is a byproduct of E-85 due to a fuel pump not being E-85 capable most likely.
Pumps must be capable of operating with electrically conductive ethanol...
Something to consider.
There are a few major differences between FFVs and non-FFVs. One is the elimination of bare magnesium, aluminum, and rubber parts in the fuel system. Another is that fuel pumps must be capable of operating with electrically conductive ethanol instead of non-conducting...
I don't believe the fuel tanks plastic material in DSM's is made to handle E-85.
I could be wrong? If not:Switch to a Stainless Steel, plastic made to handle E-85 or a metal tank coated with epoxy.Plus the rubber o-rings for the injectors need to be switched out for neoprene o-rings.
Get the FMIC and get a good one, don't buy a chinese made POS.You can run E-85, it does make more power than pumped gas, but I'd replace all my fuel hoses first. ;)
Naw, bought mine new for 24K and invested about 20K to this day.
But it is total rust free, never wrecked and clean as hell car,:hellyeah: plus it has 22K on the OD.
Hell I'm still buying parts for it to improve the bread.:thumb:
