I can't stand these guys but this is how to install one.How To Install a Torque Converter on an Automatic Transmission - YouTubeLike said above, I bet you stuffed the pump.
Can't leave the bearing out, there is an oil port there. In a bse kit you turn the bearing 180* from the oil port. Unless you drill and tap the hole some how.
A cut 2x4 and a BFH can get you close to what your looking for. A come-along and a tree would work great, as for hooking it to the frame, a C clamp would work, or there is a tool with teeth that the more you pull on it the tighter it gets, I just can't remember the name of it.
The 420a's crank is good for 600hp range, it is knife edged. A budget rebuild with a turbo setup @6psi should net you 160-180hp to the wheels. There is a member on here that hit 668hp with a good bit of time and money into it. I can't find him ATM.
For someone that builds engines and works in a machine shop asks were to connect a catch can says a lot. Don't bash people if you don't want to be bashed, keep that to you and your school friends.OP, if you can't pull the pan right now keep a magnet on the oil pan until you can pull it.
They are great for only 12 psi, any higher then that and they usually come apart. My good friend used one on his civic and lasted 20k miles @ 12psi turned it up to 14psi and started having problems with it. Just save for an MHI you'll be more happy in the long run.
They only came with a Donut. By stopping every half mile was the best thing you could do! It's when you don't stop and make the full trip, is when diffs get hot and stuff starts braking. I wouldn't worry to much about it. As for the overheating, do you have coolent issues? It was your engine, right?
Have you check to see if your BOV is bad, leaking, or stuck open? A little idle surge is something that needs to be addressed. Theses cars can be vary touchy with boost leaks when they have a MAF.
Dump the safc all together and get link. If you can't read it it is worthless! Like said find some 450cc put them in and see if that fixes it. With gas coming out your tail pipe, you have washed your oil too witch will lead to bearing failure down the road.
Well if its the same dsm from your other post, get the WRX, newer lower milage, and something that will last you though school. Any used car is a gamble tho.
Is it a fwd, awd? Was it an N/A converted? With the lack of info this guy seems to want to off load it on someone else. For someone that wanted info on if its a good buy, you defend the car a lot. Why ask if your going override what everyone is saying?
