The other day I was removing my wheel and my stud spun it its place. I was looking for a replacement so I can just use 5 new studs. I fear the other 3 on the wheel will start to spin too. I can't find a rear AWD one anywhere. Just a bunch for FWD with no axle hook up. Can someone point me in the...
I agree this sucks, My DSM has been down so the rule about the picture needed to be done this year is always the challenge I was faced when submitting. Been waiting on parts, I dropped my stuff off at the machine shop a year ago!!! I have every calendar up to date lol, Don't feel like using an...
I notice shep seems to be out too, I'm working on my motor and my trans was next. Seems like its TRE or TMZ at this point. What happened to Diamonds are FOUR-EVV-ERR.
Heat over time makes it harder to peel as well. Reason the wheels can be tough sometimes. I would do the whole thing matte black. The 2 tone gloss and matte black can be cool but you can always peel the roof when you want and have that as well.I'd tape off the windows and any little grill or...
My first car at 16 was a N/A spyder. Miss that car! I would get a little 500 dollar beater car to get him around 80s accord or something lol. Then have him help and pay for the stuff to get the turbo motor into the car. There is a good chance that if he himself is INVESTED TIME & MONEY into the...
Don't want to be bashing places, Mack Massey (no more since dealership is under new ownership) was the one that messed up the timing belt and eventually destroyed my head, another shop double gasketed the first oil change on the new motor and destroyed the bearing (shop no longer in buisness)...
Let's go back to the beginning of this long rough road.My First Car was a 99 spyder. After a lady pulled out infront of it, I used the insurance money to buy me this:1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWDThis was the day I bought it, 92k miles, unmolested and had 500 bucks extra from the 99...
Must be nice!!!!! If i'm ever down there Ill hit you up haha. trying to plan a trip sometime! Little brother is going to go to A&M next year, he has a few visits from now till then as well. Figure I could get as far as Austin and chill while he goes there for the weekend haha
Saw a white 2gb eclipse no front mount relocated plate and a black hood. I was in my civic and he exited on Mesa by the police station, anyone know him? Venting BOV in my face LOL
Ghost_92TSi submitted a new DSM Profile :This too shall (make a) pass! (92 TSi Build)Read more about this vehicle here...History coming soon. As well as goals.
^This. DSMtuners calender and not just DSM calender. I will be submitting tonight! Submitted a little late last year, Snowboarder asked for a few extra entries after the dead line. Mine are all 4200 px wide so it should be plenty big! Regardless Ill be ordering one, I have for the last 5 years.
6 bolts don't have many options. Plenty of people run the eagle. I wish Manley made a 6 bolt crank. I think there would be more complaints if the crank was truely bad.RPM sells them. Got mine I think for like 5 bucks.
Will this work for the 1g as well? I need part #32 but I don't know exactly what to call it, nor found a part number. I put on mudflaps and a screw wandered a little too close and clipped it. rather be safe than sorry.
I know this is a month old be got rid of my AEM and got the LC-2. I am going to hook it up to ECMlink (v3 full) how does it work to log in link AND read out on the gauge. DO you tee the wire, the other is for narrowband simulation only so I get that one. Thanks!
Maybe someone installed them wrong, ran it, and then noticed, and swapped them the right way?:idontknow:Clean car though, keep up the good work!:thumb:
Its not too hard, I would line everything up first, gernade pin the tensioner, loosen the pulley, pop the belt off, do the seals (I would do both since you are there) then all you have to do is put the cams back in with the dowel up and aligned, and don't have to worry about resetting the...
Cam seal maybe?^yea that, I got distracted and never hit send, but I agree with arodgst.usually cracks on the VC will happen between the cam gears. It looks too far over to be that.
I know the rear is different for the added weight of AWD, I used the AWD ones in my 2g spyder as recommended for the extra weight of the convertible. These were eibach springs as well.
So after I did my subframe bushing. I was reinstalling the rack and the steering wheel shifted almost 180 degrees out.As per this thread:http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/287497-my-steering-wheel-aint-straight.htmlI took the wheel off and re centered. But now when I use my turn...
Going to be hard to tell from just the smoke. I would pull the manifold and look for oil in one of the exhaust ports. Then move to the intake and check the turbo for shaft play.
Remove the MPI fuse. Its located on the the terminal (+) at the battery. When you turn the key it will crank without fuel and spark. Do this about 3 times for 15 seconds.
You should be able to see pressure on your oil gauge.Plug the fuse back in, and start the car.
I have mine ziptied to the two oil cooler lines for now. will mount it in a similar spot and run wire through the power steering (behind headlight) are. I have the evo kit from AMS.
I tried earlier and it just kept ringing. Ill try again right now.EDIT:Now I got the answering machine. lolMaybe in 20 mins. Call before they close? its 6:19 over on the east coast no?EDIT#2 There we go, LC-1 out today and my other gauge DS tommorrow. :)
Yesterday I put on the oil pump and housing, did the timing, put on the oil pan, transfercase, and down pipe. and adjusted my TPS gain.Today, I drove it to work!:cool:Let's see how long it lasts lol
