All I know is that the thing is getting so hot that it spitts and bubbles out of the overflow and onto my driveway... Im pretty sure the temp sensor is fine because when it gets to that point the gauge is almost pegged at the top... (that happened the day I to it home) havent let that happen...

Yeah I had to take the trans off twice because I didnt shim the pivot ball the first time. It is now but it still wont go into reverse... I'll make sure to adjust my clutch pedal/ Master cylinder properly but does it make sense for it to go in every other gear except reverse if the clutch pedal...

Is there a certain position the transmission linkages need to be in before you connect the cables? For some reason I can't go into reverse at all after my clutch install. I have a 95 eclipse gsx.

Located the coolant temp sensor and of course the wires got pulled apart when I dropped the trans out... soldered then back together and she fired right up! :hellyeah: Thanks again for all the help guys, now I can check this issue off the list :thumb:

So I'm having a hard time getting my 95 gsx started when its cold... (takes a few shots of starter fluid and cranking and reapeating to get it running) I'm thinkin its the coolant temp sensor for the ecu thats bad or maybe unplugged. Where is this thing? Pics would be appreciated or a detailed...

Finally all put back together... the pivot ball shims worked like a charm. bled the lines and the clutch pedal feels like new again! thanks to all for the input on my issues! check this one off the list now.

+1 on the short... check for open wires and bad connections where water could have settled.

Started tarring the thing apart last night because when I looked at the fork it was running into the bell housing everytime the clutch pedal was pressed in. Shim time!

Awesome so there is a ground from the harness to the firewall and the starter to the battery, the lighting cluster to the firewall. And not one to the engine block? I thought the big main ground wire with the terminal ran from the battery to the block.

You wouldnt happen to know the location of all the grounds would you? I can only find a couple and they're all good and clean. I even replaced the main ground running from the battery to the engine block.Oh and whats the computer under the pasengers seat?

If you are working on a 98 n/t the canister should be on top of the fuel tank or right by it on a bracket. There might be a leak in the lines causing a pressure read issue so first inspect the lines then you can check the whole system for leaks. There are evap system testers out there that...
