Miller Import parts for the arms. Fellow DSM supporter. When you get them, maybe give them a quick sanding and hit them with a few boats of black paint.
OEM filter? I had a similar problem trying to use an aftermarket filter. Poured all over the place. I never had an issue. Swapped it out with a true OEM from ExtremePSI.com, and issue solved.
Loctite makes a vinyl and fabric adhesive that works pretty good for minor repairs. I just replaced my top last summer. Wasn't too bad of a challenge. Took about a weekend and went in pretty smooth.
Hey, ceedawg. Was one of the initial symptoms having excessive brake pedal travel?
It seems like I have a lot more pedal travel compared to my other cars. Like I really have to push on the pedal to slow down fast. Can't really get them to lock up. I would think the 2 piston calipers with...
I just want to say I have been going since 2009 and I have seen a little change besides the growth in size. One thing I have noticed, besides racers getting older and migrating to a bigger platform, are that DSMs are getting fewer most likely do to age and abuse. The cars that compete at the...
T-28 and you'll probably want to grab a new SS oil feed line and maybe a drain hose kit too. Usually the OEM oil feed line gets damaged upon removal and, if I remember correctly, my OEM drain was a little too short for the T-28 and I had to cut it and add a hose for length.
I tried an Ebay one. The bearings were garbage and my volt light would flicker at idle. I emailed the company and would not warranty out the alternator. I sent it back to them and they basically said it was fine. beforehand I took it to 2 different auto places (just the alternator) and both...
So, what's this new beauty lookin' like??
Is it gonna be "better" than the last one? What was her name again?
Just for fun, you should start harassing Chris about trying to trade/buy/win your old shell back...
Since you mentioned purchasing the car with the lowered suspension, take a good look and see if there is anything added for additional camber adjustment. Your picture isn't the greatest, but I would think there should be more negative camber since it has lowering springs. If there are camber...
Isn't someone rebuilding the T28s now? I thought I just seen an announcement somewhere that a fellow DSMer is rebuilding some T28s. I just don't remember where I seen it. Not sure if it was on here or FB.T28 might be a good option for him. should be an easy bolt on swap for him without...
I don't remember too much about the install, but I do remember I had to flip one of the o rings around and it worked. couldn't tell you if it looked different, but it made a difference. Wouldn't shift into overdrive after rebuild until I swapped the o ring around and it worked fine after that.
Glad to hear! I knew you couldn't stay away. Well, I'm on speed density now, so if you needs some basic stuff, let me know. I probably have it laying around in the garage.Find me on FB, homie!
Reggie, you're back in the game??I got a vibrant 4.5 in MAF adaptor and a K&N filter to match in great condition. Also, I believe I have the DD radio too for the Infinity system, right? Hit me up, homie!
I find that most cheap rotors that you can find at most auto stores are garbage and warp easy. Lately Ive been able to find Brembos for cheap on Rockauto's website. No issues with them so far.
I don't think any rear upper strut bar will work with a Spyder if you want to be able to put the top down. I recommend upgrading the sway bars first. Makes a huge difference.
I have a similar issue once in a while. I keep getting "Unable to connect to port" or something along them lines. I just have to wiggle the connection at the OBD port and it will connect.
I'm running an Evo 16g turbo with 272s and a fwd auto. I will admit its a teeny bit sluggish off the line, but aren't most turbo cars? But, it spools quick and rips the tires off in 2nd gear!Check all your motor mounts too?
Last time I was down there in December and I seen a super car show and cruise going on that I passed by on my way to the beach. That was on a Saturday too.PM'ed!
I'm gonna be down there in 2 weeks on vacation. Find me something to attend...I will be needing some fun! If not, just PM me your number or something. We can meet up!
I believe I don't have full line pressure until I'm about 75% throttle. So, its kind of controlled and not there all the time to help with street ability.
Have it chipped by EFI, Translab shift kit, stiffer roll stop mounts, and trans oil cooler and your good to go! The chip will help give more of a "manual" performance with controlled full line pressure and 4-2 shifts. Roll stops will help put the power to the ground. And the cooler will keep...
It will effect defrosting. So, expect foggy windows in the rain. Typically, the defroster will blow warm air faster than the heater. But, you're in Texas, do you really need heat?
Excuse me for being naive, but was it kind of a direct swap, or was major modification needed? Basically, is it kind of like a 4g63 swap into a 3g for example?
First off, you can probably find them used somewhere for way cheaper than new prices. We all are swapping out our pumps to grow just like you are starting to. You can find a 190 for cheap; like $30 and a 255 for about $60ish. Many of us are upgrading all the time. I have had a 190 rewired...
"I'm telling you running 16 PSI in a stock T25, stock SMIC, and 390cc injectors is retarded/pointless without some supporting mods."
Last time I checked, 2g's came with 450s and the 1gs with the 13gs came with 390s...
The hardest one is the one in the back againt the firewall. You have to take out the battery and tray to get to it. The trans one isnt bad. A supporting member black_gst makes the front and rear solid inserts for us autos. The other ones are just junk. They press in nicely and work well...
They make a difference and you'll feel it. Some more modern cars come with a front bar from the factory nowadays. I'd also recommend upgrading the sway bars too for even better cornering. Also, they help strengthen the body during acceleration. I have a fwd, so it makes the front end more...
