  1. Straight Line Specialties ????

Tein S-Tech springs have been on backorder. I know this because I ordered a set also from Tein. The set I ordered is finally on its way so you will probably get your set soon from SLS.
  2. Most Hp Eclipse

He's actually run a best of a 7.31 I believe early this season in Phoenix. I don't know if he's gone any faster since. Shepherd was probably making more than 800 whp to trap 165mph. I believe Jesus makes 800whp and traps 150s. I would assume at least 900-1000whp in a 2500lb car to trap...
  3. Most Hp Eclipse

As many of us know, Brent Rau probably has one of the highest if not the highest HP 4g63 "eclipse" out there, RWD, FWD, AWD. Trapping at 183+++ you have to assume he's making 1200+++ hp.
  4. DN header users feedback

If you're looking for performance gains out of a manifold, keep looking. The performance gains are minimal if even anything from any manifold. I only bought a DNP manifold to be able to bolt on a T3 turbo and have a durable nice manifold that wasn't the same as other people's. Just my .02...
  5. ACT 2900 or Slowboy 4000?

I don't know anything about the SBR clutch, but I daily drove my 2900. The pedal pressure isn't noticably stiffer than the 2600-it was probably the same. I did have a bunch of disengagement problems with my car after putting the 2900 in, but maybe my clutch system components were just old/worn...
  6. stroker head

    Redline was set at 8200.
  7. stroker head

I personally think if you don't have to mod it, don't bother. I stuck with a stock head minus Crower springs and 272s and made 600+ whp easy on my 2.4L. Getting the head done is one of the last things I'd worry about. Just my .02.
  8. FP3052 Pictures and impressions

Ummmm, you're quoting a guy that works at FP. ;)
  9. Walbro fuel pump q's

I had a 255 low pressure in my car all it's life (because when I was buying a pump, I didn't know I'd make 600+ whp someday). It ran/idled fine, and as stated above, a fuel pressure regulator is not "needed". It finally maxed out when I made my 617 whp pull, so if you want to make more than...
  10. Just ordered comp cams

Here's the overlay of the charts.
  11. Most successful built seven bolts?

"ecoli" on here has a built 7 bolt 2.4L and has gone a best ET of 10.4 and a best mph of 138 mph. On the 10.4 run, the motor held together, but 4th gear decided to destroy itself hence the low mph(130).
  12. PTE SCM dyno/track numbers

It's true. That's the way to do it imho. It saves the most money that way. I went from 14b to a 67mm turbo. Do it once with a goal in mind. You don't know lag on a dsm 'til you've ridden in my car. :p So lag is overrated... sometimes. :thumb:
  13. PTE SCM dyno/track numbers

It is fairly "easy" to make that. You just need all non-half assed parts on there and you'll make it with a good tune. If the parts are there, the car will make power, simple as that. Good luck. :thumb:
  14. Just ordered comp cams

The runs were made a month apart but I swear there was no changes except the 272s. Even having the runs a month apart, I don't think it'd make the 50 whp difference. I could see 10-20 whp from different day conditions, but it showed the HKSs clearly just made more either way. BUT, the reason...
  15. Just ordered comp cams

I didn't really get what you were asking but as you can see my chart with the Comp 101200s vs the HKSs, the HKSs came out on top. Here's the chart with the 272s in with NO other changes except maybe a psi of boost. At 30 psi, the car easily made 50 more whp than the Comps did. I didn't want...
  16. Top Mount T3/T4 Header

Ummm... I believe Brent Rau makes his own manifolds for his Eclipse :thumb:Anyhow, nice work Nick, can't wait to see it run. :thumb:
  17. 2.4 with a t88

Hahahah.. good ones. Let's keep the flows going oh so slow youngn's. :laugh:But on topic I guess. The way I see it, you could use a T88, it just better not be the 88mm one but the smaller Greddy T88. Lots of nitrous and a 2.4 with a good drivetrain, and it should work alrightA turbo...
  18. 2.4 with a t88

Sorry, I just had to jump in here for the little that it matters. If you want to see my comparison of the two cams on my car, look in my profile pics between the two dyno chart's numbers. I didn't wanna post it before, but I'll let you guess what the only change I made to the car was. :thumb:
  19. Ss Turbo Manifold:xs Power?

Those were DN Performance ones and they are a different/nicer design if you're talking about "Raceway Park" as in Norwalk, OH.
  20. Highway, Strip Turbo setup.

Why not? I mod'd once and went from a 14b to a 67mm Ptrim turbo. From 275 whp to 617 whp...It was fine.It all comes down to how much power you want and how much money you have. My motto is go small and simple or go all out; there is no inbetween. :thumb:
  21. camshaft cam bolts

Why not get them thru the dealer. They aren't expensive and shouldn't break when tq'd to the 14 ft/lbs they are suppose to be at.
  22. Most Hp Gain After Dyno Tunning Post Up !

Power from 420 to 617 whp after tuning it and dialing it in 'til the 255LowPress. (bought long time ago before thinking about making real power) fuel pump finally maxed itself out. TuNing is key.
  23. Do you guys like these rims????

There are alot of better options out there, but that's just my opinion and taste.
  24. Its December and NO SNOW!?

Whew, good thing I drove thru No. AZ when I did then. There was about 1/2 inch of snow and it was like 5 degrees. Here in MN, it's GOOD that there is no snow, but I was quite surprised how many southern states are just as cold (because of elevation- New Mexico sucks).Right now I'd love to...
  25. CA Hood Check- all bad

Wow... And I actually thought about bringing my car to CA to drive daily. :thumbdown The cop would've looked under the hood and immediately towed it. Good luck with your situation.
  26. How many of you guys thought of leaving DSMs ?

I thought about it. Then LEFT for good.... after thinking about all the broken parts and money I'm going to blow on it if I wanted to run a 10 or low 10/9. :| Then said to myself... man, a 2JZ sure sounds good and sold it while thinking so for $11k for a 1g. :D
  27. Good bye DSM

I sold it to a guy in the Chiacago area i believe. I don't want to disclose his information but he seemed satisfied with it after we went out and did a few highway pulls. :)I'm looking for a Lexus SC300 to turbo!! Anyone know of one I could buy, I've been searching all day nationwide but I...
  28. Good bye DSM

Haha, yea, the neighbors backed their truck into that by mistake so it's gotta be brought to the body shop :)
  29. Good bye DSM

Well... today I sold my 1g that I worked 10 months on and drove for 3 months. I guess I'm kind of happy of what I got for it, but I just don't feel "complete". The car should've run a 10 sometime if I would've had more chances to goto the track. Anyhow, I sold it for $11k as is with a fwe...
  30. 1g with konig monsoons

These are like Konig Monsoons. They were my beater wheels which I just sold the car with :(
  31. Racing heart C5's, anyone? please....

The 3-peice Racing Hart C5's would look godly nice on a 1g but obviously doesn't look like anyone is willing to dish out the money for nice dishy wheels on dsms(and the fact that we can't get that much dish under our fenders).
  32. fastest Daily Driver

I drive my car daily and am too poor to buy another. It's only gone 11.377 at 132.29 mph, highest trap being 132.90 on 27-28 psi, but it's all I have to drive for now. I put about 400 miles a week on it.
  33. 245/50/16 Nitto Drags on 16x7 wheel? Will it work?

Actually, they will fit, but like u4ia said, you won't get the whole advantage of the width of the tires. I know of a local running these 245/40/16's on his STOCK 1g 16x6 wheels. And yep, I did mean the 245's.
  34. To4R feed back/advise

    If you still can, go with a T4 .68 a/r housing. I have a .82 T3 a/r P-trim wheel on a 67mm (same as your To4R) compressor and it is a tad bit laggier than I had hoped for. Full 31 psi is at 5700 rpms on my 2.4. I've seen a T66/Ptrim T3 .82 a/r do 31 psi at 5700 also on a 2.3L. I know there...
  35. i went Wingless..*pics*

I say just leave it wingless. The 95-96 talon wing looks very good on the back of a 97-99 Eclipse rear as shown in Krazykorean's old car. Whatever you do, just don't put the 95-96 Eclipse/n/a spoiler on unless you like your car looking like an RS.
  36. Any artists on here?

From last year's sketchbook. Each drawing took maybe 30min to an hour. Wheels are a bi*** to draw so I never took time to make them look right.1GRX-82Gthis one is huge and took alot of time, but I just made up the car because I didn't know how a taxi looked like.
  37. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

Ha, you're looking at the wrong turbos then. A 50 or 60 trim or the turbo you currently have will make 400 whp and spool 30 psi between 3500-4000. 61mm turbos will generally spool 30 psi at mid 4s, and the 67mm turbos will spool 30 psi at early to mid 5k in 4th gear. On lower boost like 20...
  38. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

The 3575 has a 67mm compressor wheel as the GT35R has a 61mm compressor wheel which flows 10 lb/min less. Anything can be "too small" for anything. Again, how much power and lag do you want?
  39. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

I have the FPT67 on my 2.4 and I know of a person with the FP3575 (gt35 exhaust wheel as the 3775 is the gt37 exhaust wheel) on his 2.0. From what I was told, his car spools almost the same as mine and has made similar power.
  40. PTE 54-trim

    I hope that was a typo.Here's a flow chart for the 50 and 54 trims54 trim:50 trim:As you can see, the 54 flows a tiny bit less.EDIT: links fixed.
  41. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

That's not what you said before "buddy".
  42. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

As we can tell you already knew in your previous statement.
  43. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

Um, the 3065 and the GT35R are almost the same turbo just fyi and times don't tell you much about a turbo as cars can have very different setups or weigh alot less than yours. Both the 3065 and the GT35R have the same 61mm 56 trim compressor wheel. Pretty much if you have a T3 flanged...
  44. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

Are you going to be running a T3, T4, or a mitsu flanged manifold. That alone should help you choose your turbo out of your list of turbos.Call them up. They will talk to you. A phone call is easier to get information from than an email as many shops are busy and might have to catch up...
  45. Going 2.4L Stroker but not sure which Turbo

What kind of power do you want? How much lag are you willing to take? Some people think my turbo is overly laggy, but I am fine with it. All those turbos will spool decently fine before 5k rpms on a 2.4. Are you going to get a sheetmetal intake manifold and how high are you willing to rev it?
  46. tubular manifold

SSAutochrome/probably that one/ will crack. It's been gone over a few times. For the DNP, you could just have a 35/38 mm flange welded and have the 40mm cut if you really want it. I had my manifold cut for my Innovative wg, it's not that expensive if you want a reliable manifold. If you're...
  47. tubular manifold

Why do you want a tubular manifold if you're going to be using a Mitsubishi flanged turbo? I'd save my money unless you just want it for looks. Just my .02But yea, DNP makes nice manifolds flanged for T3, T4, or mitsu. www.dnperformance.com
  48. CA State University students...CA residents in particular

This is direct from the school's Scholarships and financial aid section from the school. I was looking at this because no where does it say how much the school was per semester/year.So for those wondering, I know there is no free lunch but it sure sounds something like it the way they...
  49. Ashlee Simpson lip syncs **video**

Thank you, at least someone understands.Woo... punch, punch, jab. That hurt. If you want my p.o.v. (that stands for point of view) :thumb: ...For vocals and lyrics, individuals like The Beatles, The Doors, Death Cab for a Cutie, Jason Mraz, Frank Sinatra, and many many more are far...
