Cruising temps are 178-180 and when I get on it I never see 190 on 100deg days...
Recorded using ECuFlash.Evo rain guard installed in factory hood (huge difference)
Koyo 1g radiator (not as wide as factory 2g radiator and has a huge dent in the bottom haha)
SSAC FMIC
No AC...
I mean if you wanna be anal about it the turbo was given to a shop in my area which rebuild industrial turbines and turbos for heavy machinery, planes, etc. I had them take it apart measure and apply the old tolerances to the new housing/wheel and mate it to the CHRA all with me standing and...
Ported, polished, and bored to fit the wheel perfectly ;)Hoping to have a fun little 16g once I get it bolted to the CHRA and installed during over Christmas...
I have the Evo 3 16g 10 Blade extended tip billet compressor wheel from them that ill be putting in very soon to test out and see how this goes.... also will try the 6 blade ET wheel to see if there is a difference and where its at. this will be on my 05 WRX but its close enough to give results...
You have issues if you get that much knock already on that low of boost. There is no 1 way to tune a car whether it be a Subaru, DSM, Evo, etc...It is all a combination of things and I'm saying you have to much timing. Also a EGT gauge helps understand what the motor is doing a little better...
I very much agree with this! And thats is why I was looking for a little more info on the subject haha. Also what is consider high boost and what is considered low boost? The gateway stuff says they perform better @ x.xx pressure ratio because they can scoop more air even under lower or the...
So I've been checking out different turbos and I see a lot of different compressor wheel designs... Some are a dual 6 blade and some are 10-11 blade. Some are all tall blade and some have secondary shorter blades. I'm sure each design is made to work within a certain pressure area and boost...
This is the turbo I wanted.. this or a Green!I would say see if you could find a set of the FP272 cams, I loved them when I had my DSM and wouldnt choose another cam over them for Street performance other than the KELFORD 272's...If your upgrading cams is usggest upgrading the valvetrain...
Dont quote me on this as I cant remember and it has been a while since ive reasearched it...I believe that it will drop the torque but raise the HP #'s and help spool out alot!If you Cutout is before your WBo2 then it will not read correctly, you need to have the WBo2 atleast 6" before...
Ive got a good friend of mine who just made some insane power on a PTE 6266 but ran out of fuel... He is running E85 but we are not sure what the turbos limits are as of yet...If I was int your position id go with a BW or Holset as they are very durable but you have to rememberthat the...
I got a great deal on it and wanted something a little more reliable/newer/fit my tall ass better/DD service but still fun so I got this but will be getting a 2g GSX shell soon to build me a weekend/track car over time

Rainguard/Hood ventDuct or Air dam
It's the black piece attached to the radiator support with self drilling screws and then ran a piece of tape across the screws/tabs to seal it to the support and it sticks down about 1" above the downpipe so it will not scrape but is plenty...
With my cooling setup my car idles at 184-187 screens cruise and will idle at that for 30mins...

Why don't you email them? When I did it I bought the bulb style for my 2g and bought the harness and it was complete plug and play.... You get a pair of bulbs for the price, basically a plug and play kit to use hid's.If you are using them in factory lights the least you can do is aim them...
UPDATE!!So its either be between these cars...
99+ Mustang GT or Cobra
98+ LS motor GM car
95+ 240sx
98 Subaru 2.5RS, WRX, STII'll be trading for 1 of those vehicles or keeping mine and making it into something you all will more than likely hate...
Dying carpet black
Dying some interior...
It is a spray dye more or less... I asked a friend of mine who works at a body shop and they use the exact product and it is very nice he is going to spray mine instead of me buying a bunch of aerisol cans and taking the chance of it coming out spray paint likeIt is not available at...
Back to life!!!How is it holding up??
How much did it end up costing you?
How many cans of clear and paint were used?
How many coats?I'm dying my carpet this weekend and have a few panels is like to do... From the pictures it looks factory and not shiny like when painted is this correct?
Believe for the extra $250 it won't be a huge difference in spool but I can't speak fact only speculation.Have you thought about the BigH1C? I k.ow it flows a little less but it will spool crazy fast in a BEP housing from my understanding which is why I picked 1 up for really cheap(can find em...
Check out DZ Sparkles on eBay... They look sick on your colorAlso Evo wheels are good but different is betterMB Battles also and o prefer flush with the fender or maybe a little poking out with about a 1" drop
Well mine is done with my custom manifold... Just used flanged from the above manifold. It does spool very quickly on my 2.3 and has awesome top end for being a 16g but what you said is correct, I mainly did it to be different and have something unique....
Yes they flow that good but size does matter.... DSM's dont have alot of room to play with which is why some of us go pusher and puller fans. Plus I keep my engine bay cool with 1 SPAL 1630 CFM pusher style fan so 2500-3000CFM is more than enough cooling for usI believe those fans are 16"...
This was 1 reason I don't like my DSM but I may try this before I decide to sell it... Plan on replacing carpet and seats anyway so it'll be a perfect time... Will update!SUBSCRIBED!!
I had this issues even with a Koyo alum Radiator, New cap, and vented hood.... System was cleaned and flushed 3 times and thermostat was less than 3 months old(170 t-stat from advance)My car ran hot and I did all those things but it fixed when I changed my t-stat to a new 170 from advance my...
These are pictures of my custom setup... Remember mine is custom and not the Revshift manifold or VBand exhaust. I believe with the Revshift stuff you have to use a forward facing oil filter housing, or a remote oil filter housing.
Have to make a custom lower pipe to go to the intercooler. I was able to shorten my SSAC licp and then I just made a new pipe out of my previous j pipe.... I'll snap a few pictures of it tonight.Anything else?
Im not doing it to upgrade im doing it for comfort, reliability, and downgrading hahaThe WRX is about as modded as it gets cause I dont want to start having issues with it... The most I will do to it is wheels, tires, more suspension, and fix the exterior and maybe some better looking gauges...
Im looking to find something a little more reliable at this point just cause im tired of working on the car... Will not be getting out of the DSM game as I will get a shell and start over but I will make it a weekend/race car that is off to the side but that will be in time for now I need...
Just cut the stock springs.... If done correctly it is just like putting lowering springs onto your stock shocks...You arnt looking to get any performance out of it just looks so take measurments , and only cut the top of the spring!!!! Take you time and do it properly and you will get the...

Not trying to steal any spotlight or anything but just to show it can be done and works with plenty of room and operates corretly here is a few pictures of my custom tubular manifold, Evo 9 turbo, intercooler piping, etc, etc
IAT's are are taken from the stock MAF so I'm sure it is not an accurate measurement but better than nothing...I've heard don't use AZ or Advance alternators as they will give out easily but I guess with a lifetime warrenty it is had to pass up but ill check all my wires 1stAll of this...
The only wire that isn't good and correct is a wire that is slip on like the coant temp sensor but it goes to the alternator and the piece its slips onto is broke so yeah...Any idea what that wire does?
You would tell me the 1 thing I didn't wanna hear haha hopefully I can keep temps below 200 still...Still looking for some answers on the other things though
Im running a Fidenza Flywheel(Chromoly), ACT 2600 PP, and ACT 6 puck UNSPRUNG.... Chose it as it will hold my power goal with room to spare for a little upgrade while keep drivability(DD for my car), lasting me a decent amount of time, and fair pricing with good customer service/warrentyIt...
Well ive got a few questions im hoping I can get some help with1. What should I log in EvoScan when logging Coolant temps? Coolant Temp(10-15 deg hotter then CTS) or Coolant Temp Scaled/CTS2. What should my coolant temps be? In Coolant Temp Scaled(what ive read you should log) my temps...
You know man I was in the same pinch a little bit ago with my build/motor swap and I kept going 1 step forward and 6 steps back.. just take your time and get it done correctly, don't cheap out on things and once its running again you'll be happy to know it was done right! But deff get another...
This may help the OP or be off topic...I see a lot on Koni and GC which fully done is around $1000... Would live it but we dont all have that kind of money and atreet performance/looks is enough for most DSMer's.Can you put GC's on another type of strut? Tokico, KYB, etc...
