in a mighty max. Had to cut the floor out and notch the frame rail in order to get it to sit far enough forward

also figuring out a rear end should be a priority. the stock truck rear axle sucks, you can upgrade to a montero for cheap if you use junkyard resources or other options are out there. Im running a ford 8.8", which was also fairly inexpensive but a lot more work to get setup

most of the video you watched with the thermal were prob running the stock turbo.

more times then not, loose ground wires are involved. Good luck!

my vote would be a loose ground wire somewhere

flux core is great when youre outside in the wind or just need to fix something quick that doesnt have to be pretty. if you hate it at first, just power through it because once you switch to a gas mig youll love it in comparison

km 132 wont hold the power if you want to make 300+. I'm running an r154 on mine with one of Bills adapters, engine mounted with the factory MM mounts. I had to do some custom plumbing with an inline thermostat to avoid hitting the firewall

did you check the crank and cam position sensors?

I have a floor mounted OBP setup and I like it a lot. the options for adjustment are cool and it leaves the firewall nice and clean. Worth it if you can get yours to work

I got my 4g spyder for $1k in decent shape. I feel like it would be simpler just to sell the gs, make a little profit, and find a 4g car if possible

as long as youre okay with the noise. internally gated turbos with external dumps dont sound as good as external gates that are dumped to atmosphere IMO

also ask him about the recent service, if any, the car has received. Timing belt, water pump, etc etc
