I some what dissagree a fmic can be put in at any time and will be a benifit either way. Their are other up grade to consider before it maybe, but it's not a mistake by any means in my books. It will allow you to run more boost also.

All dsms (turbo) are fun, but personally I'd hold out for a awd at the very least. If your just looking for a d.d. and keeping it some what stock I guess fwd would be o.k. it's up to you and I wouldn't pay more than $2000-2500 at the most theirs always more work to be done on older cars.
Know matter what you do remember fuel management is key. Dsm link is the way to go, unless you plan on stand alone. Right now you might only want 300-350hp, but once you got it you'll want more so keep that in mind just in case and don't buy ebay junk unless it's proven by more than a couple...

I also bought the xtd stage 3, but still haven't installed. From the info. I've gotten 4 or 6 puck clutches are hard on the tranny, but ones like the act 2600 aren't. For the price I'm going to try the xtd and hope it works good and if not then go with 2600. Don't know if that helped, but...

I have same problem girlfriend didn't close passenger all the way so hit the door with hip to close rest of the way and now both locks on doors don't work. Very stiff. Let me know when you find a solution.
