I would use ones specific to the 420a but its super hard to find them. I just read in a forum that these springs would work so I wanted to make sure they would! What type of valvetrain are you running in your 420a?
So i checked the link bullettdsm and that spring set also includes retainers! Do you know of any valves that work with those retainers that would also fit a 420A head? Cause it seems that most spring sets come with retainers and i dont want them to go to waste.

well she ain't knocking anymore! Just slow and sluggish! ( crappy ) as some would say! I also just replaced the fuel filter plugs and wires. So I ruled that out, any suggestions?
Okay so I took the valve cover off to see if it was a stuck rocker arm and it was! I also did an oil change and didn't find any metal flakes, so when I started it the knock went away. But its still sluggish when I drive it?! Wtf

Okay so I did a high rev burnout and a couple days later my car was knocking! I don't know if its the valves or bearings? I'm going to to drain the oil in the morning to see if there's any metal flakes, if there is can I check the bearings without taking out the engine? If there isn't any flakes...
So i need help diagnosing this problem before i tear into the engine. I have a 96 gs 5 speed that has a knocking only when i give it gas and slow acceleration until i hit the 3000 rpm range! any ideas on what is going on? any opinions help... thanks
well i didn't know that it wasn't that much work? I will try doing this to find out myself if i like it! but still no answer on the power increase at all??

Okay so does eliminating the a/c and p/s give any WHP or just Crank HP? And how much does it give? Is it worth eliminating? Any info or opinions would be great!!

so i can stay with stock internals and hit 250hp?! and what about the slight knocking? what do i do to diagnose the problem and how to go about fixing it? i dont want to assume its one thing and replace that part and find out its another prob.
Okay so i think i bent a valve cause i have a knock! Now should i rebuild the entire engine so i can boost to about 300 hp? or should i just rebuild the heads to boost and get 300 hp?

So where should i start to build all motor and then eventually go turbo? what compression pistons should i use? if i put 8.8:1 in the block can i drive all motor with those or are they just for turbo?

so what i've learned so far is 140hp is stock and you cant make 250 hp with upgraded internals and no turbo? So obviously i'm gonna be spending at least 3 grand more to make an extra 100hp from stock! what tips can u give to make 200 without turbo?

The question was whats the most HP i can get if i do a full build all motor? I plan on boreing over .20 with 10.10:1 wiseco pistons and eagle rods! what kinda HP am i gonna get with those? whats my stock compression now? and i am doing FULL build starting with the block and going up!

well my plan any ways was to build an all motor/nitrous daily driver! So i guess im starting a little earlier than i thought i was gonna. so i guess my first question will get answered later after i do my rebuild. where can i post pictures and thread about my project when i start?
okay im going to get some pics of the ebay exhaust. everything is tightened to spec and theres no leaks in the intake or exhaust! now i have an even bigger problem and this is it, now i have a knock. im guessing its a bent valve or lifter??? what do i do??
i put on an ebay air intake and exhaust and now my car doesnt seem to have as much acceleration as before! any suggestions as of what could be happening?
