well one of the cam gears are off by a tooth.... not that the belt jumped but just when we aligned the timing marks we are 1 tooth off...... car runs good except at idle it sux bad.... oh well latas
the chiltons says dowel pins up on the 4G63 not the 420a or at least the chiltons i have..... cause i looked at it after we messed up the first time and realized that we were lookin at the wrong illustration woops.... good luck with your car man...
yes you are right one up and one down..... did the same thing (changed head) on my car and at first put the dowel pins both up and tried to start it and it was crappy lol yeah align timing marks you will be good...
well put a new head on my 420a and put everything on.... made sure the timing was precise and then when i fired it up and let it run a CEL pops on. Says 1390 i believe..... i check this with my manual and it says timing belt skipped a tooth...... how is this possible with a brand new belt and...

yah my car would run that too if i lived in new jersey......the freakin air here in West Texas Sucks and the Altitude is higher.......your probably closer to sea level and the air is good there......i know that there is a lot of difference from place to place...

Installed the Pacesetter Header and had to put a new o2 sensor because the one in the old pipe was stripped inside and would not come out....well ever since then i am getting a CEL about the o2 sensor and my car is running rich as crap...... I am getting like 10 mpg that's it..... someone...

I just installed the pacesetter header on my GS and went from running 17.5's to hitting a 16.8. I don't think a header will make that much of a difference but I do feel like it has helped on the top end....Pacesetter may be cheap but I sure can't afford anything else and so far it seems like it...
I can't seem to get my custom shift boot on. I took the old one off and am putting this one on. It has the slits on the bottom of the boot to slide over the tab thingys on the underneath side of the console, but do i fold the extra stuff over the frame and then tuck it on the other side...

Just got my 1995 GS 5speed and put a Cold Air Intake and a Magnaflow Muffler on it. What does stock GS's run usually in the quarter mile? I timed mine stock and it ran a 17 flat before i put on my intake and muffler. Also you have to take into consideration of the 3700 ft above sea level crap...
