I said I'd get back with how I wired in a 2g tcu into my 91 laser. I wrote it and took some pictures.Like I previously said (I think I did) pin 1 on the 2g tcu is for the tcc solenoid. I took a tcc solenoid and wired it straight to the tcu, jammed it in dash with tcu.Only reason for that...
I grabbed a spare inhibitor that I used off the 92 diamante. So I wouldn't have to chop mine up. I have it in the garage and I'll post how I did it when I go to see how I did the tcu. Work is killing me
That's pretty slick. When I bought mine it had no tcu period. I did the kiggly shift mod wired mine up so it was 1 2 D, and od button was 4. Fluid stayed a lot better looking than I thought it would have.
The 92 diamante tcu that I have had been repaired by someone, who knows but the seal had not been broken until I did.
I took a few photos to show the same damage and repair that had been done to this. Some things are not the same on these but are very similar.
Sorry about not getting back sooner. My work hours are horrid.
Anywho, I had grabbed a 99 tcu from a clean low mileage car at pull a part. Have no idea why I have never owned a 2g. Started going through diagrams and only saw small differences wiring wise. Tcc solenoid and temp sensor wiring was...
I have a 92 diamante tcu that has been repaired in the same spot that is dead. Same car 91 laser fwd turbo. I gave up on trying to find a good 3 prong tcu. I wired in a 99 gst tcu and have no ill effects from it.
I've noticed the auto surge also. Plus I just bought a 1ga fwd auto. It was to good a deal to pass though just needed tcu still don't have one but kiggly shift mod for now.
Guess it just depends on the amount time tools and other things like weather.
I found a 95 tsi fwd sitting in one. Had 103k on it bad ecu leather interior. Perfect car. Went back windows busted out and the remaining was in shambles. It was a whole dude wanted to sell for 500 just someone got...
If you have that mounted in already. The hump in the middle needs to be inside the front sub frame. The transfer case will not fit with that facing downwards.
Well its been a min since ive posted here, but any who the courteous part of dsm thing I try to do. (ex) My wife went with to look at a 92 eclipse n/a automatic with a 6bolt in it so with 164k on it so I'm in the middle of rebuilding mine at the moment. I ended up getting the oil pump both...
Turboglenn the a/c has the correct charge and it's not leaking down. My next thing is locate another ecu and try that. Is there anyway to check the ecu to see if the ecu is pulling the voltage like its supposed to?
I have battery voltage on the green-yellow. Then I have battery voltage on the red-black wire. Why would this need near 0v? Then I have battery voltage from the white-red wire then the black-white wire has -02.1
Luv2ralley The dual pressure switch is being bypassed. Sorry again about the misinterpretation. I have two 1g accu's not a 2g accu. On page 24-6 of the 1g back up service manual it mentions the mpi relay after the accu on the heater and air conditioning trouble shooting. I'm assuming you are...
Luv2ralley thats what I meant was switch. Sorry about that. The accu is good I have 2 that where put in a 1g with a working system and they functioned fine. The freon is correct, there is 28oz of refrigerant in the system and thats with a vacuum on it before freon was added. Is there anyway to...
Well the ac switch is good. Fan kicks on and the air inlet sensor and air thermo sensor, engine coolant temp sensor are all in spec. The accu is good. Magnetic clutch works when bv is applied. I have also tried two different ecu's. You can jump the pins out in the ac fuse box under the hood and...
Ok guy's i have searched for over a month now and can not figure this out. My compressor will only engage when pins on the relay have been jumped or 12v to the compressor wire its self. The things i have tried is a different accu, ecu, mpi relay, all new relays under the hood, compressor, by...
Ive had the same problem, and dont see getting new ones untill these quit working. Anyways, mine is due to rust and the soft lines coming apart and getting on the piston. I took mine apart and took an emory cloth to the piston lightly and reassembled them with new soft lines and no more...
Thanks for everyones opinions. I'm goiong to replace the gauge with an aftermarket unit. Ive watched the gague and will not do it untill it get past 3k at highway speeds. (anything above 60mph) Should i go with mechanical or electrical unit
Just as the title says, the oil psi gets higher after the car has been warmed up. This is going off the stock gauge, I know that is not a good sorce but this has just started doing this. It never got over half way regaurdless of rpm. Now it gets right before the second mark on the stock gauge. I...
Im having simalar problems. The only obvious boost leak was at the shaft seals. Mine was set around 15psi would creep to 20 then it seems like fuel cut. Now mine will not hit 15 unless a hard launch or down shift at highway speeds wot otherwise will not go past 11. Im stummped:idontknow:
Thank you for the correction born2tune. Here is a link i found on youtube even though its the front its just a demonstration of what born2tune is saying.
YouTube - You know your wheel bearing is bad when...
The other day my coolant temp sensor wires dry rotted and the car would not start for nothing. Got the wires back togather and started right up. Just a idea that something so simple could cause big problem.
There should be a bracket on each side that holds the bar to the car. Make sure both brackets are there and bushings. Check the end links also. To see if its the wheel bearing grab the top of the wheel with the car sitting on the ground and try to shake it. Push and pull. That would be the only...
mine does the same thing. im thinking its fuel cut on my car. bl test turns out good, i need more fuel. im going to try the fuel pump rewire and see if that helps :hellyeah:
yea my honda buddy great guy by the way. we put a b18b1 in his 91 civic hatch. it runs good but its still a turd my 08 mazda 3 can run off and leave it and thats not a whole lot its 156hp stock. my wife has a 96 honda accord with 300,000 miles never been modded still has the stock head gasket...

have you changed the oil since it overheated? the oil could have broke down due to the extreme heat but in my 90 talon thats about right for idle after warm
I would suspect the cluster being the culprit. I would still make sure nothing is grounding out or touching at the obd port and maybe wire a new port in
