Replaced fuel rail with FIC unit, looked worked great (thanks J&ZTuning), replaced my old injectors with new 750cc FIC units, Replaced all IC couplers after finding a gash on one, replaced idle control valve, replaced old and bad brake master cyl, bled brakes with motul fluid, replaced leaky...
Actually Tesla should take their faceless, soul less crap off the streets.
If we're gonna do away with gasoline engines at least replace them with something that truly helps the environment like nitrogen fueled cars..electric cars, solar power, windmills cause more damage to the environment...
Here you go just in case. Found it in my contacts.
cylinder heads international
+1 (817) 229-4408
They will have a rebuilt head for your 4G if you still need one. They will want your core after your install if you go down this route.
Ohdamn sorry I read this after. Well that sucks
Recently I purchased a complete head from a place in ft worth Texas for a 98 NT that was great and under $400 shipped. It came assembled complete with cams and everything for my nephews car. If you want the information I can send you the link...
X2ive had this happen with a number of cars and I just sat there letting it boil over and spill until the large air pocket went away also. It's no fun but I don't think it's anything more than a large air pocket as mentioned above.
YouYou don't sound like an idiot.
you're correct that the fuel relay is in the engine bay on the fire wall on the driver side. There's three relays typically, fuel relay is the middle one.
The same thing happened to me once on the track, last session of the day and I'm ripping it up when car...
His car is shifting into second gear at 4500 rpm, it's an automatic and he wants to know if that's normal or if that's shifting too late. He's asking if it could be transmission problems.
I'm not familiar with automatics but if it's shifting at 4500rpm I don't think it's a problem necessarily...
What's up with PRT? I've gone there several times and Steve was always good. I haven't been back since pre covid due to so much going on with my business. What was your experience if you don't mind elaborating.
I was searching for something else and ran across this, I know this is an old thread but thought I'd reply with my 2 cents for anyone who might run into this issue in the future. In my own experience after a TB rebuild first making sure to align and properly adjust the plate is the first step...
For sure do it yourself and save some $$$
I own 2 pairs of compressors but I've never needed spring compressors for a DSM lol..🙈. If you've never done struts before it's best to be prepared with a set and like everyone has already stated they can be rented at most auto parts stores.
I also agree with luv2rallye. He might of meant 100k. The owner may not have a clue, either way take a look at the car and drive it. If it looks good and drives good then you have yourself a winner.
Man that’s a hardcore policy! Shit I can’t count how many times I’ve been left stranded over the years lol
Las year it was my bug after a car show in Austin. Thank goodness for AAA lol. That’s my juiced orange. Love that thing. 2276 motor, fast!
So funny man, so I texted Chris before I rechecked and realized you didn’t have the car anymore check out the pic lol! Poor Chris I bet he got all excited. Next Tuesday I’m headed to PRT Performance for tuning. 1pm if you’re not working or busy you should come out. April 21-22 im tracking it at...
Also just realized you said it’s from a few years back so maybe you don’t have it anymore:(. Yes those stillen bumpers were pretty good but I did replace mine once due to a family of armadillos getting in my way at the 121 and Preston intersection. Destroyed it beyond repair. The new one has...
Can you tell what my favorite color combos are Yeah I’m actually right on el dorado and Preston in Frisco. Wow man! I’m actually stil good friends with Chris the person who originally built this car back in early 2000’s (maybe 04 or so), small world. It’s so cool to see it’s still on the road...
Hi Thomas, I’m sure the guys will chime in if I’m wrong but being that the front is heavier I would assume that the taller springs go in front. Usually it’s easy to tell which springs go where comparing them to your stock ones as you pull them off. Make sure the springs are actually made for...
If anyone is needing a Megasquirt Dyno Tune in the dallas area i highly recommend Steve over at PRT Performance in Lewisville. He has an AWD mustang Dyno and knows how to tune various ECMs including Megasquirt. I still keep up with Erick from ASP turbo, he's a great guy and helps me with...
OH! and went to shop and decided it was time to put ol txbluebeast back together again. 90 Galant GSX with 4G63 turbo conversion. not going crazy like before with 2.3 stroker doing crazy hp tho, just a nice relaible(ish) built 2.0 with all new everything and a modest 18G turbo. I miss her...
I admired my turbo manifold recent ceramic coating and added an OEM wing back that i removed back in 05 lol BACK TO THE FUTURE! this one has LED brake lights tho;)
No kidding on the relays:/
Hey funny you make the Supra comment. I was at TWS (texas world speedway) last weekend and another driver walked up and said that my Supra looked nice, I told him it was an eclipse and when he realized it he said "oh shit you're right! Lol thought it was a Supra"
I...
Man, you're having some problems bud. Well if you want to be 100% sure the oil is right just drain it again and go ahead and put the right amount in there with a new filter, worth the peace of mind. Hey on a different note, I have a 96 420a turbo, i long ditched the factory tranny bc they are...
It's a pieced together kit. Stillen front fascia, VIS Racing Evo style CF hood painted to match, fiber glass side squirts, rear fiber glass 98-99 upgraded bumper, Evo 8 wheels, side mirrors are universal after market mirrors, left wing off. It works for me.
.
Solved! Thanks all for responses..it was a hell of a mistery to find. So like I said, went through everything all sensors, asd and fuel relays, went through my MS2 wiring, plugs wires coil, took m&w apart, checked vss (which I had no idea it could mess with your spark) was about to buy new ecu...
I would say yes. In my humble opinion and having two cars with CF hoods and one with a CF hard top I would say that the angle at which you look at the hood will change the appearance. Also depends on wether the CF has been clear coated which gives it a glossy look and shows the fibers better...
Hey DStar thanks for replying, it's the rs 420a motor. Owned it for 21 years now so there's nothing that can go wrong with it that I haven't dealt with before and can fix until now..I hadn't thought about the fuel pressure regulator bc it directly has to do with spark, fuel pumps (I can smelll...
Car is a 2g RS eclipse with turbo. Has anyone ever had an issue with car not getting spark, it turns over but won't start so you go through the process of checking all sensors and testing coil, asd relay, plugs, wires, replacing parts blah blah blah and accidentally find that if you put a heater...
Ok, She lives! And man does she move! After finding a few more issues with the MS wiring and correcting them she is finally running great. Took the car out last night to street tune it and it ran like a champ. Will dyno tonight or tomorrow night and will post final numbers. I can't express how...
So i decided to start a new thread in follow up to my MS2 Problems i was having. I figured this would help anyone having MS issues get to the solution faster. For months i was messing with the MS2 in my 420A Turbo and was getting nowhere until SYMTECH suggested i call Erick from ASP-TURBO. He's...
Update- Tuned remotely yesterday 3-19-12 with Erick from ASP-Turbo. Car Idles now very nicely at 1100 rpm i might add. Doing a second session tonight 3-20-12 to smooth it out more. Will possibly do some street tuning. So far very impressed with Erick at ASP-Turbo and can so far say i highly...

Hello everyone, I have been trying to get my car started and tuned for a while now. I've learned a lot about MS but still I'm no tuner:toobad: however I am pretty persistent and don't give up. I found a great source for MS tuning. They can even tune remotely. That's right, they don't even have...
Ok..just an update on this thread. I am very close to having a solution to my MS situation. If things go as planned I'm sure I will be able to help other members that bought the MS system and are stuck not knowing how to get it started and tuned. I should know something in the next couple weeks...
Thanks Omar! Yeah the problem is time. I'm sure that if I just sat in there for a couple days messing with it I could get'er done, but I've only been playing with it in my spare time for a few hrs every week or so. I'll keep updating my thread as I figure things out.
interesting:hmm: No one in the DFW area runs Megasquirt succesfully..lol! well i will bve the first then and then i will become the master MS tuner for this area:aha:! ye yea!:hellyeah:
Hey you're not wasting my time, thanks alot for taking the time to respond. You really helped me out, I was under the impression that you had to set the warm up and after start enrichments to get the car to idle, now I know better. I'll keep playing with the numbers, hopefully I can get it to...
I was trying to find local 420a/turbo megasquirt users to get some help with my MS2/Extra 3.2.1 fuel management. Seems a lot of people have trouble with the initial set up of MEgasquirt. I realize now that there's no short cut and not a lot people that set up and tune these systems. It will take...
It's all about driving style and what you will do with the car. All configurations are fun in my opinion. I road race all three FWD RWD and AWD. Keeps things interesting. It's less challenging racing an AWD somewhat because of the obvious advantages, however if you have to stick to one car and...
