I run e85 all the time on my set up but I am not a 2.3L stroker but I am on a 2.4L. ported head dual walbro 255 bluemax 1450 dsmlink v3 and the list goes on. I have all the bells and whistles. you can run upwards of 20* of timing on a WOT pull. I just dyno'ed my car with a boost leak with a...
Kinda makes sense to me. I see guys hitting about 8-10lbs of boost with the two step on launch when I was hitting about 22-24Lbs on the two step. With the slower burn I believe it helps with the spool of the turbo as well. I am no expert though. If i had better tires or slicks I think I would be...
E85 Definitely helps with spool times. Fixing that will also help with your spool up. I would assume that might be the culprit of your spool issue or some type of exhaust leak.
2.4L dual 255 on e85!! The BEP housing was ported also. 11lb spring on the 38mm tial WG. Running off the PR O2 housing. Head is ported and polished too with FP2 cams. I don't know if the port and polish help spool times but yea it is ridiculously fast. Now if I can get the HX-52 to Spool in the...
These numbers are very possible with a FP manifold with the .55 A/R BEP housing. I did 457 WHP with a boost leak and very bad heat soak. The wastegate dump tube was hitting the intake pipe of the intercooler. IAT shot up 70* by the end of the dyno run. I did this on an 7 blade hx-35 as well. 30 psi
I am running speed desity right now so will I have to go back to using the stock maf?? Also I am putting a 2.4L in will that make a difference. Have been reading but not too much result on e85. I am running e85 right now. Does it help?? If anyone can help me out that would be great. Anyone got a...
Yea, just got it tuned and the internal gate won't do anything past 24lbs. was logging about 44lbs/min on 20lbs of boost after tuning on e85 with 11.7 afr. Time to go external gate and push it up to 28lbs. After that going with the hx35. Was in my buddies 7 blade hx35 in his gst and man that...
Yes it is a bolt on PTE5031e. I still have some tuning to do as I am new to it. I was at 44lbs/min at 5600 rpms. It wasn't til it really hit hard i looked down to see I was at 28lbs of boost that I let off. I didn't have the arp's in yet.
So I finally got the JMF street SMIM and bbk tb installed along with DSMlink. I also got pte950's also. I am running SD and up the boost to about 25lbs of boost. I also got the FP race manifold also. Man has this turbo woken up. I am running on e85 as well. Threw in some arp head studs too. I...
So you painted the seats too?? Did you primer all of the parts too or just hit it with the paint. What grit did you use??O nice Job by the way. Car looks Clean
Just updated my profile but I get what your saying. Just been hearing alot of talk of how well these Holset's are doing wasn't sure what it would compare to the turbo I have now. I would like to see the 400 WHP would be my goal.
I plan on getting 1000cc injectors this month and I just DSMlink V3. Waiting for the ecu to get socketed. I would have this turbo in for about 350-400 bucks and figure I could sell the PTE for about that much. It only has 3000 miles on it. Just trying to figure which turbo is worth keeping.
I currently have the PTE SCE5031 50 trim turbo and just picked up a Holset HX35. I just don't know if there is going to be a huge difference or if it is worth it. I want to say it will be worth it but wanted to ask for your wisdom
not sure if you went with link right away NOSkillz but did you notice a huge difference like from 18 to what you are currently running at 25 psi. I don't have link yet and am running evo 560's right now. Getting ready to throw in some 1000cc injectors and get link v3 as well. Just trying to get...
I have been running the PTE scm5031 for a year now from the OFH with no reistrictor and have had no problems. I run my car hard too.... Like Rad DSM said its hit and miss. I look at it, best bang for your buck would be to find a holset hx35 on a cummins 94-98 dodge ram. You can find them cheap...
Is there a difference from the 2ga and the 2gb side skirts and rear bumper. I know the rear bumper is a little different but i don't know about the side skirts
I ended up getting a BBK 70mm TB which is what the SMIM was flanged for. I bought the SMIM from one guy that bought it from the original owner. Found out that the original owner still had the TB so I got that instead. Now I have to figure out how to fab it to my UICP.
Installed and idling at 750-800 perfectly fine. I has made a huge difference on the top end. I didn't get a change to put on the JMF Street SMIM because I got a 70mm BBK TB with a 45* angle welded on it so I need to fab a piece to bolt up to my UICP.
I just ordered these bad boys from ExtremePsi as they are having the best deal right now. I can't wait to get them on. I also picked up a JMF SMIM and trying to get a 1g TB. Want to throw them in all at once and see how she runs after that. I just have an AFC as I am saving up for DSMlink, once...
Usually they come in the 95 eclipse gst/gsx and if you pull out your ecu there is a uppercase E at the bottom right hand corner that states that you have an eprom ecu. Means you can socket the ecu to have DSMlink installed into your ecu. Basically able to log whats going on in your car and make...
So you are saying when you put it back in at 180 degrees it shows that you are a full capacity and when you do another 180 it shows you are a quart under??
I would get supporting mods first before you upgrade your turbo. That bigger turbo isn't going to produce much boost with bent valves due to a timing belt not getting replace.
unless you are checking from a cold start it would be accurate if you have been driving for a while and checked. If you have been driving for a while and pop your hood to check, I would pull the dip stick and wipe first. Then, pull it back out and that should be an accurate reading.
Apexi SAFC does not require computer. Tapping into some wires in the ECU and there you go. Just adjusting what your ecu see from MAF. As far as some thing like Greddy Emanage, too expesive IMO. It is a stand alone unit. If you have or can get a hold of an Eprom ecu, I would go for DSMlink. Best...
Definitely a 3" turbo back for starters good intake FP 4" bigger injectors 660's 720's, FP race manifold, SMIM, boost controller, and a must have to achive goals that you are looking for DSMlink. You are going to want to get a WBO2 as well. Not sure if your BOV will hold boost for the amount...
just wanted to throw it out there but Zeitronix makes a pretty nice set up as well with both logging capability and their new gauge monitors egt, boost, a/f, and one more that I can't think off the top of my head.
