as you see looks like i can get a great deal on a jdm evo4 engine($750) friend of a friend thing. but in my swap i need to use a 2g head to put the turbo on the pass side of the car.
1st will it work do i need to worry about piston to valve clearance?
2nd timing parts, cam gears and so on...
picking up a 87 conquest tsi, i have a few ? on the turbo hot side can i put a evo9 on a dsm 16g? im planing on useing evo intake and exhuast mans.

i have a 2g and a 3/s vr4 maf is one better then the other? and do i have to put in 550cc inj? or can i use the 450cc, i found some good info just trying to figure out some of the details. and what are some of the pros and cons to this on a 1g2G MAF in a 1G TEL/GVR4

im about to start a 400tq @ 2500 400hp @ 6000 fwd auto car, is a 96 stealth twinturbo. i ask the ? here because from what i know the auto trars is the same as the 2g dsm fwd auto, and the dsm club pushes there cars harded then 3s and wanted to know how much power and tq these can hold in stock...

I'm planning on anodizing my intake manifold, I have a nt and a turbo I have noticed on the nt manifold the studs for the tb are on the front and the turbo there on the back, I understand the nt tb is better then the turbo tb, so are the manifold the same?
like i said at wot and only in 1st gear at about 5k it breaks up, 2nd and 3rd its runs perfect, e316g @18psi vrsf fmic, no cat 3" exhust, stock engine, stock ecu.

i understand that it use about 30% more fuel so 30% more then 450cc would be 585cc so tell why putting e85 in and some 580cc inj wount work please. besides the rubber lines not holding up
after installing my fmic my engine bay temps were way up so i gave this a try, in the hands of a body man it could look a million times better. but it works for this car at this time
just installed the kit the other and i have a few ? im running no front bumper so how do i hang the cover besides the 4 bolts in the fenders? 2nd the lower front tb bolt i couldnt tq down, should i take off the metal y that runs from the tb to the head to get more room?thanks for your info

Long story short, put a new filter and fuild and friction modifier, drove and shifted great for a few weeks, then today it wouldn't go into 4th on my way to town then on thr way back it wouldn't go in to 3rd or 4th, so I don't what to check, its a 95 tsi awd stock engine and about 160,000 miles...

just thought i would post a pic of my 1g with 2g seat belts, it was nice and ez job, everything bolted up and i saved about 25lbs, and the dumb auto belts are gone.
i order a fmic for my 1gb and im having it anodized and the shop thats doing the work needs to know what is on the ic, i have sent a few pms to the vendor on her as emails and i havent gotten the info. so does anyone know what it might have on it?thanks for the infojerrid

Power steering rack went out in the car and I decided to go with a manual steering rack. I am at the point now where the four mounting bolts are and the rack is disconnected from the steering shaft, tirod ends are off, sway bar is disconnected, exhaust is disconnected..... So how do I get it out...

gfs car, when cold it has a hard time shifting into rev, and staying in gear, she has told me she had wot and it wont pick up speed at all, and at stop light she will have to put it back in rev, park a then drive, to go again, not all the time just from time to time, and only when cold, it runs...
