Ive always used Rotella T for new engines, its thick enough to catch any shavings and its friction modifiers are designed to fuse with iron blocks, but i get Rotella for free so i run it in everything but my bike ( it gets mobile 1 synthetic)
thought of another one, aftermarket synchros with out the damn paper backings so we could use normal gear oil, a cheaper set of axles, a stroker kit that doesnt come from howell automotive, and a kicked out oil pan.
Theres a Honda in college station with a prosport, its bounce from lean to rich, levels out then starts bouncing again, we hooked up a narrow band and it leveled out. I almost bought one but i went with a Zeitronix instead cant wait to see how it works.
I would buy a clear timing cover in a second
3 in downpipe
Another exhaust manifold option
A nice intercooler with a short route set up and a choice of bov fittings
A set of aftermarket mounts other than prothane
OEM is the only way to go.
Bosch = German Engineering at its worst.
Autozone alternators = Equal re-manufactured in Mexico, i worked at Autozone for a year, we had to scrape the sticker that said Remanufacturados en Mexico.
Ive had more trouble with small town cops, ive got pulled over 3 times for no front plates even though its in windshield. Which is 100 percent legal in Texas i asked a DA and was told that as long as its visible from the front of the car and there arent any factory mounting holes it doesnt have...
How bout some more 420a turbo parts that dont cost 3 as much as the same part for a 4g63. Im tired of fabbing up custom parts. And i have a CF wiper cowl :p
Memphis make great subs i worked at an audio shop all throughout highschool, they make some of the durable speakers on the market, but outside of there subs they really have nothing to offer. Planet audio are fairly nice but they are owned by RF. Diamond audio are clean but dont handle bass well.
all it needs is a downpipe ,a wally 255 ,and a 12:1 FMU 420as can handle about 8-10psi before you run into trouble. For a low boost application that kit will be fine, ebay turbos last a lot longer at 8 psi than they do at 25.
So... do they have any kind of education system in Illinois? If i have deciphered your post correctly you wish to shift gears in an auto 420a. I believe the rev limiter is set somewhere around 6500 rpms, and for good reason the A604 sucks. It just cant handle the strain of the extra power from...
That looks sick. It is sad how the eclipse when from a sport compact icon to a car that resembled a strange insect(3g) and then to something that looks something that should be hanging off the arm of a middle-aged housewife.
Watch out for the police, if you get a cop who hates everything or studies his traffic manual they'll ticket you because there not DOT certified....trust me. I had to pay a ticket for not wearing a seat belt when i had a harness on in my camaro needless to say i was a bit pissed.
I found a precision GT32 .63ar 60 trim for fairly cheap locally. Im unsure about how well it will spool ,and if ill be able to hit 25 psi with it. Any help would be appreciated. My set upweisco 8.5.1 pistons
eagle h beams
knife edged crank
indy ported head
crane 16s
crower springs...
If all else fails you could always report 6 or 7 crimes several miles from where you plan on driving, that'll solve your problem. Just kidding, you could just run an exhaust with two resonators and a dump so you wont have a visible exhaust.
Simply put, you cant run 10s in a 420a and retain its drive-ability. Its not easy to run 10s in any car and use it for a dd. From personal experience 420a are expensive to turbo correctly, i have got 10k in parts for a car that cost me $500 and ill be lucky to get in the high 11s. In my personal...
If im not mistaken aren't 6g72s bad about dropping valves for no apparent reason? Ive got a friend with a vr4 and it spends more time on jack-stands than it does on pavement. Way to be different but all you did was over-complicate an already over complicated car. Supposedly there's a guy in...
The stock coil is junk, you only need one, and you should have a flat pin connection. It will help quite a bit, a new coil and a better set of plug wires will smooth the idle and increase throttle response. If your going to upgrade the ignition system get a set of NGK 7090 plugs, they work great...
I may give Portfueler a try on my next build, im really curious about the system and i just so happen to have a dis-II laying around the garage with all the necessary sensors :thumb:
Be the first to try them out, Id say slap them on the block your planning on using and hit a dyno then report back with the numbers. Its not like you'd have to remove the engine to upgrade cams later so there's no real loss, and anything is better than stock (unless they snap in half and destroy...
Anybody ever read an evo vs. sti thread the evos win hands down every single time. Besides imo the subaru sounds like it has a torn a**hole as it revs up.
Its all about personal opinion everyone thinks what they use is the best, thers nothing wrong with that, thats just how it is. Ive ran memphis subs in every car i owned, and ive used the same JL 1000.1, im happy with that combo, so i stay with that combo.
Tens will always be cleaner, as for brand of subs MTX is ok as long as you dont overpower them. Memphis are great subs for the money, so are pioneers new comp line. Mtx are clean subs but usually fall prey to people using cheap amps with the gain turned as far us as it can go distorting them...
