My buddy opened up a small shop/dyno and is having a dyno day this coming Sunday, 11/29, from 9:30a - 9p.AWD Mustang dyno, trucks/dually setups, loud as #### cars, whatever you have can be strapped down.Price is $40 for 3 pulls with AF readings. Going to have food and (I believe) a cash...
Is this really a thread about whether or not to sell a 17 year old Eagle Talon for $12.5kSell it or I will drive to where you live and kick you in the junk ROFL
The handle broke off of my dipstick, and I can't get to it with pliers or anything to get it out. I tried to unbolt the tube, but after a few splashes of PB Plaster, my trying with a leverage bar/ratchet, and then me trying with around 140lbs of pressure on my impact wrench, I can't get the bolt...
Gapped the plugs down to .022, still breaking up. Logged PLXWB and battery (battery to check voltage.)I'm somewhat stumped here. I've read it could be a mechanical problem such as something in the valvetrain sitting properly, but the car runs pretty smoothly the rest of the time.I might...
Yea, I know. I might close the gap anyways to see, but at 51lbs/min around 26PSI on my old SC61-powered 1G, I only had to bring the gap down to I believe .024."I never tried anything WOT on the COP, but I might toss it back on just to see what happens.I've always had good luck with Accels...
Apologies. I copied/pasted from the 'Link forums, where some stuff is assumed.93 octane, ~14-15psi, DSMLink, zero real boost leaks. Bleeds pressure roughly 1PSI per 3 seconds down from 20.
Some background - 2.3l - 185 compression across, 272's, GT30R with a chewed up turbine wheel, AMS 880's, etc. Brand new Accel wires and BPR7ES.When I bought the car, it came with COP. I have never been a fan, so I pulled it off. I replaced it with a '90 coil, wired in bypassing the tach...
This was 4 years ago, and I was 17. I know people who, at 21, pay 1200 for minimum coverage. I had just paid $6k for a 59k mile car, and I wasn't about to let someone with a key or a bat destroy the thing and let me take the hit. Good luck finding a great shape 2G for 2400, by the way.
'95 Talon NT @ 16 - liability, 800/year
'96 TSi AWD @ 17 - comprehensive (everything but collision) - 1200/year
'92 TSi AWD @ 18 - same as above - 1000/yearAll above were under my parents insurance.'94 Miata M-Edition @ 20, under my own insurance policy, full coverage 700/year
'98 CBR...
:thumb:I think I posted this on here before (but maybe not, I don't know,) but when are used cars from private parties sold with warranties? If this would have been my car, I would have said "Sorry, car was sold as-is," and hung up. It's a modified vehicle built probably in someone's garage...
I had one, very temporarily. A local had a T3 version, and Hahn's adapter plate was semi-backordered, so I bought this as a temp solution to get the car on the road.I'm not sure which craptacular eBay brand of the day it was, but the runners were so small, I can't believe the motor didn't...
lol s1ck l33t $treet r@cing, y0!I can't even comment past that. The exerpts from the show, coupled with the comments here, make me want to hang myself with a timing belt.Alec Baldwin is the best actor, period, and it's pretty obvious at this point that Dr. Phil is the most stand-up...
Haha, yea, it breaks people's necks ;)If you're going to head out to the Irwin Car Cruise this Saturday, shoot me a PM with your number and I'll call ya when we're heading out.
100% perfect. I had zero complaints with any of the craftsmanship on any of RC's pieces. If you're truly interested, give Dan a call, I'm sure he'll answer any and all questions you may have; the guy literally had an answer for everything (driveshaft angles, flexing the frames under load...
Way to resort to name calling. Make use of that "wiseman" title. There's plenty of reasons to keep info from a private board, private. If the owner wants to share information, fine, but there are plenty of reasons why the owner might not want things discussed immediately. If I was competing in...
:rolleyes:It's been done several times. I'm pretty sure I'm number 9 or so. Number 1 with an M-Edition.Actually, I'm friends with the owners/shop of the car I'm pretty sure you're talking about.
Got the speedo mounted and calibrated. With only myself in the car (185 lbs) the car will spin first, second, and into third if I let it, on the OEM 185/60/14 all-seasons. With my friend in the car (icedearth15,) it'll dead hook in second (he's 260-300, depending on training routines.)...
Some of you might remember me, most probably don't.However, I sold the DSM last Winter, and bought a '94 Mazda Miata M-Edition in January. It is now the only (to my knowledge) LS1-powered M-Edition Miata in the world.Build pics - http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g32/60dash1/Short idle...
I plan on picking up a set of Corbeau Forza's for my 1G, and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with their brackets? I searched, and some have liked them, and others hated them. With the Corbeau brackets, how is the height? I don't want my head bouncing off of the roof.Will...
Yep, the DSM is gone. And, after owning as many as I've had, it's time for a break. I don't think I'll own another one for quite a while. So, on to the next project : FD RX7, and I don't intend to use a rotary in it ;)Take care,Jesse

Are diesel cars bound by the same rules? I would assume semi's and what-not are exempt (obviously,) but I don't know the regulations on diesel car stuff.
I saw 32 lbs/min and a DSMLink estimated ~276awhp out of mine at 17PSI and 93 octane. That was with stock 1G compression, cams, and everything else needed to support it.
Where's my free shit :)I wouldn't trust that Eastern for anything. Leigh Ramsdell bailed off of a loading dock with one, and the big thing was that he didn't break it. That shouldn't be news, it should be expected :rofl:I'd hate to have that thing break, and be out $1,200.Edit : I think my...
Dan, what manifold to you intend to use? Most people need to use a 1/2" mani to head spacer for the turbine housing to clear. Because of how it's designed, it's puts more of the housing towards the block. When I was trying to run a EVO III manifold, and a Hahn adapter plate with a 4-bolt T3...
2860 without me in it, I weigh about 185.No AC, PS, cruise control, ABS, back seats, front seats and auto belts replaced with fixed buckets and 4-point harnesses, etc etc etc.
