    If the system is holding coolant, the hose is not getting hot, the radiator isn't getting hot, and the thermostat is for sure functioning properly, then it has to be the water pump.

    That's the idle air control. At idle the throttle plate is completely closed and that has a valve controlled by the ecu to allow air to pass through it into the intake manifold. The plug is on the engine harness somewhere nearby.

    you should drain your oil and put some in a clear container to see if any water separates out into the top. Knowing whether there is water in your oil will tell you immediately whether you have water leaking out of the coolant system or into your cylinders.
