Definitely not boost leaks when gm3bar reads -20 in dsmlink. Nothing like an air compressor hooked up to the turbo inlet plus soap and water on every coupler. Bubbles real good... :thumb:btw I do have stock cams.
It sounds like the shop did a compression test on a cold engine. I have 125-130 compression on a cold engine with my 4g63 and when its warm its usually 173-185.
You guys know something funny? I have been having problems reading vacuum with a glowshift boost gauge I purchased a few years back. Ever since the time I got it its always read 8-9 inhg vacuum. I finally got around to calling them yesterday and the guy said it is normal for dsm's to have a...
Im trying to get out of being probationary... lol ive used the forum for 3 years now and never really needed to post and questions cause everything has been asked before... lol may be a good time to become a supporting member?
What bulbs should I get? These are plug and play right? what colors are there? lol (sorry for asking so many questions) Do you guys have any online links where I can order them? thanks. LOL
I have some lights behind the tach and speedo that decided night time would be a great time to blow. The rest of the cluster lights work so I know its not a relay or fuse. I cant seem to find any information on bulb replacements. Does anyone know the part number to the bulbs? :confused:Thank...
Thanks for all the responses. I do like the retrofit style. Do they come with instructions? I also want to upgrade the entire headlight unit itself the ones I have now are all foggy. Does anyone make 97-99 projectors that are plug and play with everything already installed? Thanks everyone! :)
I am trying to upgrade my stock 95-96 headlights to 97-99 HID's. There are tons of different things on eBay for my to chose from. Projectors, CCFL, Halo's, HID, HIR, etc. I just went the best possible lighting at night for safety. I'd like to have HID's on both my high beams as well as low...
I was wondering if there is any wideband that's plug and play with the front upstream o2 sensor? I've got dsmlink v3 to translate the wideband signal into narrowband. I want to be able to just remove the stock O2 sensor and replace it with a wideband without having to cut any wires. :)Thanks...

I bought the car last summer and I would imagine the motor may have been swapped out for a 6 bolt. Im not sure, thats why im asking everyone else! haha
Ok so after reading the article on vfaq about the difference in the oil pan between a 6 and 7 bolt. I noticed what appears to be a 6 bolt pan, but im not 100% sure. I would just like some confirmation that I really do have a 6 bolt. THANKS!
Ok well first of all its not my dimmer switch. I have tried all that. The problem im having is im not getting power to the dimmer... But anyways there are so many cut wires underneith the dash that I dont even know where to begin. Can you guys look at your cars and try to give me an idea as to...

Right I understand that. But looking at the product comparison page prodcompare [ECMTuning - wiki] the full version shows Auto MAF compensation. It says, "Auto MAF compensation= An extremely useful tool for getting those fuel trims inline quick and easy. Automatically dials in MAF compensation...
I plan on getting dsmlink v3, and blowthrough gm maf in the spring. I know that in the full version of dsmlink it supports auto MAF Compensation. Seeing how it has auto maf compensation, do I really need to get a gm 3bar? Auto MAF Compensation means that I do not have to do any manual a/f tuning...
Hey thanks for the quick reply everyone! I have the clutch safety switch unhooked for the reason of reducing the chances of crankwalking. the clutch safety connector is directly in the middle at the top of the picture. But my question was what is the connector to the left? its kind of hard to...
Can anyone tell me what the hanging red and green connector is used for in the middle left of the picture??? Also if you look carefully there are two red/white wires a little to the right of the connector, that are cut. Any ideas where they go to? --THANKS...
I have the exact same problem right now! The guy at advanced said the reason why i got the P0505 was because i had bad vacuum leaks, being how my gauge reads at -8 to -9 at idle. :hmm: Tomorrow i will be running to town to grab a new MDP sensor. From what I read the mdp sensor can effect your...
I mean its like looking for a needle in a hay stack... what kind of wiring diagrams would i look for...what wires go where...I have had my entire dash out once before but still i did not know what to look for... Whats the wire that powers all the interior lighting??? i thought it might have been...
woops i was wrong with the reading of the red wire voltage. I just checked both wires today and they both read .65V with the car off. Also i tried with the headlights both on and off... still reads .65V.
Ok here is my problem. I have absolutly no interior lighting whatsoever. No chime, no courtesy lights by the kick panels, no dash lights, no HVAC lights, no ring of light that lights up where the key goes into, no lights underneith my rear view mirror, no flip down mirror lights. My headlights...
Ok so here is my situation, I am missing a relay and I have no clue what it goes to or what its there for. There are two black wires, both with a red stripe running through them which test +12V. The relay location is about 6 inches above the main junction box by the kickpanel. Its a white...
