That is for a 10 turbo, which is actually a lot easier to put on a DSM. We built a tubular manifold for a 1g, to fit one of our EF3x turbos on, and it worked just fine. You do need to have decent fab skills, the ability to build a tubular manifold, and custom downpipe. X turbos are standard...
Dang, that 60' is crazy. A local guy ran a 11.555 in a full weight 2g, with one of our EF1 turbos. Track prep was apparently crappy, if only he had your 60' haha.
First and foremost, what kind of car are we talking about? You said you don't drive a DSM and that you are using a dsm turbo set up.I'm from a non emissions state, so I'm not sure what all goes into one, but why would pulling an intercooler pipe, thus venting all the boosted air to atmosphere...
Did you get this for free? I'm sort of wondering why you would buy a turbo and manifold, if you had not a clue what it was in the first place.Turbo does indeed look ancient. Unless its got zero shaft play, I would have stayed away from the whole set up. The eBay manifold is bound to crack...
Try a different barrery. If that doesn't work, take your ECU out and take a peek at it. Or if you have a friend with a 91-94 (going off your profile car), then you can give theirs a try.
Are you saying that for certain, or are you just saying no? I for one am quite surprised at how 3g parts fit on 2gs.To the OP, take a tape measure, and find out yourself. Then all you have wasted is some time, and you have learned that it does or does not fit. It's too bad the internet...
Small 16gs are awesome. Any 16g for that matter. I miss my old white 1g, was around 330hp/340tq (long time ago so the numbers escape me). Was such a simple setup hks 264's, 660cc injectors (ran BP 93), 2g MAF, fmic, wally, and a safc to tune. Prob would have been more fun with a better tune on link.
I love ETS, their intercoolers are one of my favorites, and I've seen quite a few the past couple years. After my LSX swap, if I decide to turbo it, I will be buying an ETS product. Great looking, great performing, quality products. With the ETS kit, it gives you room to grow, if you want to...
That's a real swell answer. Don't think he said he was trying to break it.Go to the members part of the page on the top right, look at dyno numbers, they are broken down by what turbo was used, in one of the columns.
I think EFR's on DSM's are pretty scarce. What's wrong with a standard E3 16g? I don't see that being laggy on a road course at all, as long as your gear selection is where it needs to be. Also, if you're looking for a billet 16g, here at MAP we have done a few EF1's for DSM's, which people...
Evo 8 crashes at Map Proving Grounds 2012 - YouTubeThis happened at our event a couple weeks ago. Road racing def can be dangerous, did the guy in the red car above walk away alright?
Spool doesn't sound too slow, but I have very little driving experience with a t25. You may feel the turbo dying down a bit, as they don't flow a ton. What you're prob experiencing is the turbo running past its efficiency range, and starting to drop off in power. As for the post turbine...
Id take a look at your intercooler pipes and core, make sure something isnt plugging it up. A t-25 should be insta-boost. At what RPM are you reaching full boost? Your profile shows you have a boost gauge, so you should be able to tell from that.
If your car had a 14b, like it should stock (unless you own an auto), then all your stock hardware should work. From the sounds of it, you bought a knock off. I was unable to find anything regarding a "TG05H" turbo (literally google it, and this thread is one of 2 results haha) snap some pics...
The stock intake manifold has got to become a restriction at some point, so I see why you think it only has a little more in it. I would imagine with a smim and a little more motor work, that thing should have over 100-150 more HP in it through a fwd. I really want to do some standing mile stuff...
Meh? I'm not trying to be rude to the person that posted that pic, but eww. I cannot stand 3 spoke advans, never liked any 3 spoke rims, it just looks....Yea...As for the OP. Stockers for sure. I would paint them a nice hyper black (which is not black, its a dark grey) or real dark...
There's one parked outside our shop lol. RWD, 1g, eagle talon. Built 2.0, full suspension, and from what I have been told, not very easy to drift. Yea its cool for burnouts and donuts, but to transition, and keep smooth slides, its a real b**ch. They werent built to slide, or be RWD for that...
Wow, that is really awesome. Whenever I decide to make my moosestang a little faster, I wanted to slap a large frame tial flanged single turbo on it. Nice to know an Hx52 can be made to fit in a tial housing! I can't wait to see the new compound setup :)
I wish I got 2-8k for my first car... Just remember, if you do buy one, take baby steps, and do it the right way, the first time. People skimp on maintenance and it always becomes a problem down the road. Your first taste of boost is going to make you want more, its just how it is. Thats when...
The 4:10 gears in my moosestang kick my speedo off a bit, around 5mph or so. If you have new gauge faces, then my guess would be they replaced the needle wrong.
Some people.Get a turbosmart compgate40. I have never heard of an issue with them, ran one myself, and never had an issue. The new ones are awesome, easy to spring swap, compact, and very well priced. I shyed away from Tial as I was recommended to turbosmart, and will continue to use their...
Have you ever owned an evo? Being in the business of car parts, I can assure you, that you can prob buy 5 FWD dsm transmissions, for one stock evo trans. Engine parts would be considerably cheaper as well. A built FWD trans can be just as strong, possibly stronger, and most likely cheaper than...
Cut weight elsewhere, I see absolutely no reason to switch to lexan, unless your car is a track rat, that never sees the street. I have to ask, why do you feel this is necessary to do?
Maybe I have just had good luck with the MLS, but a good tacky coating of high temp exhaust paint, a quick check of the surfaces with a flat edge, and I just toss them on. I have never had good luck with composites, I have had them blow out while cruising on the freeway.
He isn't, he's looking for a tubular manifold for a N/T, that nobody makes, in what seems to be a specific style. Unfortunately, these are not Honda's, and I don't know of many companies building N/T (and staying N/T) high dollar stuff these days.Pretty much your only options are to have...
Well.. if you want the ramhorn look. Buy a t3 one with a 420a flange, off ebay or somewhere cheap, and buy a t3 flange and have a downpipe made with that. Pretty ridiculous I say. But you want it for looks.
I disagree. The best cheap mod I ever did was switch to studs instead of bolts on the VC. Just use a moroso oil pan stud and nut kit, and use them on the valve cover instead. I enjoyed easily sliding my valve cover on and off, as well as no stripped bolt holes.
I think you need to learn to walk, before you start running. 400hp on pump, on a budget, is not the easiest thing in the world to do. Get a 16g, get the car running correctly, and don't worry about HP goals. All too often do kids buy these cars, think they need a racecar, but only have so much...
AMS 4g63 Cam Gear Alignment Tool - Automotosports, Inc.These are my favorite! Used to use the zip tie method, on each cam gear after lining everything up. But the AMS one is metal, and works great.
I wouldnt bother rebuilding that SBR crap. I can't say I know anyone who has had one last, my friend did get about 5k out of his g50, but it spooled like butthole. I don't think there's anyone who has ran one at 40psi with any sort of luck.Id buy a nice evo III 16g if I were you.
This turbo is really awesome. A customer at our shop made 770 with over 600+ft/lbs, on a 2.4, in his evo. I was very surprised at how responsive it was, it goes great with a 2.4.His car will scare some people, stock wheels make it look sort of sleeper haha.
