Negative, besides a 4g64 head is sohc, wouldn't even consider it. Go with 2g 4g63 head. I believe 40 over would put the bore to 86( I'm memory serves me correct stock bore is 85.5) no reason the stock head would be a problem.

I always drop the cross brace, it's only 4 bolts and gives alot more wiggle room. Like stated watch the im in the fire wall, throttle body always seems to want to hang up on the throttle cable box.

Don't forget the stock intake manifold would have the tb pointed at the firewall.

To reuse your cas, a 95/96 head is needed. 1g and 2gb heads dont have the provisions for the cas behind the cam gear. But a 1g or 2gb head can be used by rewiring the cas and swaping the spark plug wires around.

I have a 97 gst shell, $500 takes it.

If it was a 2 door I would be coming after it.
