master and slave cylinder are fine. master leaking very very slightly, but im not worrying about it for the moment... There is sometimes a ticking noise when clutch is engaged, and goes away when i press the clutch. If it is a problem as big as a f'd up pressure plate or disk, would it get...
Alright, the other day I was driving and suddenly it began fairly hard to shift. It began grinding into some gears, and needed some effort to shift. I figured the only possible reason behind this was because the clutch isn't disengaging properly. This is where it starts to get weird... I was...
HOLY HELL. ^^^that video is insane.
I love skylines, but as far as the skyline/supra battle, I like the 2jz more.
I think I'd rather take a skyline though because theyre so rare in the states
As far as the Unorthodox pulley kit goes, it isn't recommended. It doesn't incorporate a rubber harmonic damper, which can be harmful to your crank and bearings over time. Some people run them fine, others have had problems.
Look it up,
I don't see any reason how it could be harmful for your engine. If your driving around alot of hills it might actually hurt gas mileage, but other than that im not sure.
40$ sounds about right for 12 gallons,
when i fill up i usually put around 12 gallons in, which is when my light comes on.If everything is all tuned up, no boost leaks, you maybe should look into a new o2 sensor
Right in between the two. Also, the fp manifold will probably needed to be ceramic coated or perhaps heat wrapped. the stock heat shield wont fit on it.
Evoscan can log whether its in closed/open loop correct? I'm going the reflashable ecu tuning route in the next little while.
I just got my wideband in and its ready really rich, im not so sure its switching to closed loop, i think my Coolant temp sensor might be the culprit.
Boost creep. You have wastegate/mbc hooked up correctly? With a free flowing exhaust 16gs creep very commonly. Mine does it as well.
Look into a Dumped wastegate o2 housing.
How long/difficult was it to port your manifold? would it be necessary at my mod level? Thanks for all the help.
just found a evo 3 on ebay for 100 plus shipping. almost 1/3 of the fp.
What are your underhood temps like?are you on evo 3 manifold?. I'm trying to decide between a heat shield like the one from Buschur, for 100.Or ceramic coating, probably by TCC, for about the same. Which will give me better results?
sounds like what im looking for.
Just trying to cut down on underhood temps.thanks for the help.Would you guys recommend ceramic coating, or a heatshield like the one Buschur makes?
Yeah, if i would be getting the fp manifold i would need to get it coated.
375-400 for a manifold is a little much for me right now and could go into different things to get my car running better.would an evo3 manifold flow about the same as my pacesetter? i dont want to downgrade.
Bringing this thread back from the dead.I'm in the market to get an fp or evo 3 manifold, I have a Pacesetter right now and its a piece. It keeps cracking, even with it wrapped my underhood temps are unbearable.I want to keep the same performance, if not more then the pacesetter, but i am...
Is it possible they have the most fatal accidents each year, because they have the worlds biggest population, meaning they have alot more drivers then any other country?
Exhaust is a must have with a subie.
I become aroused just by the sound of them.I say go with the sti, as long as it runs good, its a hell of a deal,I'd rather cruise in style with an sti over an old integra anyday.
Just got done. its only 230 in the morning.
what a pain in the ass.ended up just wiring it through the cig lighter, everything hooked up and it works fine.does seem a little laggy, but could be due to it being so far back in the exhaust.thanks for all the help:thumb:
Alright scratch that, i guess i have the DB gauge, sorry. so i will need to run the calibration wire?and well i would use the cigarette lighter, i just already have it spliced to light up 2 other gauges. would splicing this in with it be too much for it?Oh and i don't have a multi-meter. im...
So its blue?
behind the radio?and alright, i dont mind the CEL.wouldnt i be splicing the yellow(narrowband) into rear o2, since ill want the wideband for the gauge?am i right or wrong? can i get some insight on this so i dont mess up, im trying to get it finished cause i need the car...
what color is the accesory power?
and its the xd-16.I'm putting it in the rear 02 hole.
What should i do with the rear o2? just disconnect it? could i wire the yellow analog into one of the rear o2 wires to get the reading to the ecu when i start logging? or would i have to pin it into the ecu.
Alright, didnt want to start up a new thread,
I am in the process of installing my new LC-1.
I've searched and think i have everything figured out. However, instead of using the cigarette lighter(already used for other gauges), where can i splice into for 12v power? easiest spot might i...
Sounds Tasty (;Friend of mine attempted evading the cops on his bike.
ended up crashing and breaking his back, Bikes are deadly, add running from the police your asking for something bad to happen. This being said, if it were me. and i was on a bike that could easily outrun a cruiser, I'd be...
I dont care for the blue strip, it doesnt match with the car. maybe if the car was white it would more.Kinda clashes with the Red tails, and doesnt look as aggressive as red.The black and blue, looks pretty decent though.
Turbo lag, its normal.
10 seconds however doesnt sound normal at all, especially on the stock turbo. It would probably be more helpful to know what RPM the power hits at.
