Hey Guys, I know this thread is old but just wanted to follow up. I just finished my build AMEN!:rocks: and got my plates yesterday ( just in time for my Birthday tomorrow!)I would like to meet up with a few tri-state DSMers. I know its a bit cold outside but lets get something going!My...
Great! Just the answer I was looking for. Thank you all for the help. Yes is a fresh build by the way.Calan and Pauleyman, maybe I was not clear on the timing light adjustment question. Reason was that if I needed to adjust the light then I would have gotten an adjustable one. Thanks again...
My Fellow tuners.... I have a 97gst with a 6bolt swap as you can see on my profile. I have dsm link v3 and a timing light I got from Harbor Freight (not adjustable). My question is do I need to adjust the timing light 5* btdc? Can't remember where I read or got that info from. I looked at the...
^^^ so true. I had a 98 gs and sold it when I got a 91 4g63 VR4 motor and a 97 gst shell. Its addictive. Every weekend that I had time I would just work on it. It has been a year because I did a complete overhaul on the motor so now I have a fully built street car ( just needs a good tune) My...
I think the clear set would look a bit better if you can get an old center section and take off the "ECLIPSE" lettering and sticking them on the clear center section for more of an OEM look. ??Other than that...the clears look kickass!!:thumb:
Yea I need to start logging. I'm new to DSM link and to the 4g63's. I had a gs before I got a hold of a 6 bolt (rebuilt it myself) and a gst shell. So this is the point where I'm at and I still have to do a boost leak test. I tried with the homemade tool but its not working right....just need...
If you pressure washed it, you might have damaged the wiring to the Crank Angle sensor and/ or Cam angle sensor as well. If the ECU does not receive signal from both it will cause the car to crank and not start. In other words, if you are getting spark you may not be getting fuel, and you won't...
did you resolve your problem? I'm in the same situation. I have low fuel pressure on my 97gst. For now I have ordered the filter on the pump and another oem in line fuel filter from extreme psi. When I get them I will replace and see if that solves my problem.
Well... did it start? I spent good time reading this thread and it left me wondering what happened? I'm in a similar situation and would like to know in order to solve my problem.
I would have beat his ass stupid... my car is my baby...### with it and its an automatic beatdown....On another note... its fixable clearly it looks that he was wrong so...no worries you'll be ok although it sucks...Good luck
Great! Thanks.Yea the manifold had a vband flange welded on already but my wg is 38mm and the flange on the manifold is 50mm. That's why I have to use a transition/reducer pipe.
Lol sorry my phone oriented the pic wrong.... I called up a buddy and he said that instead of running two slim fans, to run one stock on the passenger side and use a slim fan as a pusher on the driver said. By doing this I can put the wg in front of the manifold so that pipe wouldn't be as...
Since you are going to do it with the engine still out.... this is what I did and worked great. Before you install the timing belt... yes use a drill to spin the oil pump sprocket (clockwise) at high speed for about 30 to 60 sec. Take the oil cap off and look inside to see that oil is squirting...
Good Thread!! Guys I'll be starting my engine tomorrow! wish me luck...Its my first full build...(taking everything by the book and dsmtuners along with some other feedbacks) its been almost a year between gathering parts, winter and now...
yea i thought I read that I can use Tial internals if anything. Thanks for the input!:thumb:I'm on a fresh build so... break in period I'm not going to be boosting over 10psi and then after that not more than 25 psi if anything but for the most part it will be on low boost. It will be like my...
Hey guys, so I got my emusa gate today... Iknow I know, its not tile but dont beat me up, its only temporary until I get a Tial.... Just dished out a lot of money on the rebuild, etc as you all know.I'm not looking for anyone posting to get a tial, turbosmart, etc. its only a temp and then...
yes, you can use a arp head stud washer or similar... the arp washer has a good thickness... I just did it to mine last week and it keeps the fork a little over half, where you want it. Even with the extended rod. Good luck:thumb:
i ordered that same line from xpsi last week and installed it. Have not tried it yet but I did read on many discussions that a SS line will help a lot with the pedal. It suppose to make it less heavy or easy on your foot. Also, by getting a straight line you will eliminate possible leaks from...
I have wiseco 85.5 pistons on Manley rods and my top ring is gapped at .024 and second at .021 piston to wall clearance at .003. HP goal between 450 - 500
evryone's settup is different depending on the HP they are planning to run. You can call Manley and ask a Tech for some advise and let him...
