I have been on the topic of an afpr with a friend of mine and he says i don't need one. I put one in after putting in 550's and the wally and the throttle response now feels so crisp as compared to before. Also since i noticed alot of people use ECMLink, i will say this. Yes technology has...
If your thinking turbo, pull the intake off the turbo inlet and check for shaft play...my small 16g ported and clipped itself and it was a hell of a "clicking" noise!
I had the same issue with my car. I took 2 pieces of 1/8 inch steel roughly about 8 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide and basically made a "bracket" on either side of the front motor mount to one side of the block and the other to the transmission. After some fab and bending and drilling, it...
All the black smoke is obnoxious and I prefer to be low to the ground, but thats just my opinion. Plus those trucks are turbo'ed for torque most of the time anyway.WTF
So i have been a singer in this band for almost 5 years now i believe, and honestly i would like to get our name out there and if you guys like rock, hard rock, metal, i hope you will check us out. Thankswww.4yearspast.com
I will post more pics tomorrow after work. Just got home and it's a little dark out! lol I'm running the Evo III 16g and i actually went under the radiator support to run the drivers' side. For the time being. Just till Friday when i get my new j-pipe.
Our cars are getting old. And the Fact that all of us are here on this site and still driving, building, and loving these cars, i see no reason to think that there is no "purity" We don't all like the same wheels, the same body styles, or maybe each other at times, but all in all we are all...
I say save the money and get what's right for your car. Why waste the time and energy and the money you will need IF something goes wrong when you can just hold out a little while longer and get what's correct for your car???
A slim fan is a must!!! The kit i purchased didn't have any "u" pipes although one would have come in handy. Lol. Here is a pic of the kit i purchased.
Yes sir. Good 'ol ebay universal!! Had to cut a few of the pipes since they come just one standard length but, with patience and some more patience, it all worked out.:thumb:
Well after getting an Evo 8 fmic from my buddy who was off-loading parts, i FINALLY got everything together to install! After 12 hours of mocking up piping and cutting and piecing everything together, here it is! No leaks and i def. feel a stronger pull in 3rd and 4th gear!!
I had this same issue with my Talon. cheap fix? I took little pieces of electrical tape and wrapped each tab and then put a dab of hot glue on them. No issues since!:thumb:
I made the mistake of buying an ebay header for the avenger. it rusts and looks like s### in a month, and it doesn't bolt up right. -1 on the ebay header. Spend the money and i wouldn't buy Pacesetter either. Just my opinion.:notgood:
Finally installed my oil pressure gauge in the Talon. Will post pics tomorrow when it is light outside. I also pulled the motor out of my Avenger.:thumb:
:sneaky:You should run a hose from the nipple to the "top" nipple of the mbc and a hose from the wastegate to the "bottom" nipple of the mbc. Of course this all depends on what mbc you are running.
I have the powdercoated black with mirror finish and eagle talon emblem one from Bonehead Performance!! It is sick! It's also a nice tight fit on the valve cover as well! I say go with Bonehead!!:hellyeah:
I am truly sorry for your loss. I find being around some great friends and family and staying busy is sometimes the best medicine. Everyone copes with things differently. nothing will "ease" the pain.
