Ok guys, so my 98 Eclipse gsx wont turn over by the key, so I had to hard wire it to a switch. I found a white wire coming out of the ignition switch under the plastic on the steering column, but its not connected to anything and I think thats why. heres a pic, lmk what you guys think!

Like the title says guys. I got the car with a bad tranny, put one in it and I thought that one was bad so I put yet another one in and it does the same as the last one. It's in limp mode, too bad I didn't figure that out before this trans. It starts off in 3rd and has reverse like everyone else...
I'm in the same boat fellas. I've replaced my trans and still in limp mode. How likely is a bad TCU ? But when I take i took the cover off the TCU nothing looked burnt or bad, nor was there a smell. I'm stressing over this thing...
i could have swore the short pulses were first...i'll check again tomorrow. I wouldnt doubt its the wrong trans...if I have to replace it, i'll probably make it a longer project and 5speed swap it :hellyeah:

No Bender, I found the all red wire and the wires went in the right color scheme that it was supposed to be. Was it supposed to go to a red thats not just red? I saw the wire colors on here but now cant find it. Should I connect it to the Red/gray dotted wire?

ok Bender, I'll measure that tomorrow before work, and let you know. I just went out and looked and on the smaller plug for the TCU the 1st pin is Red with Gray dots, and the bigger connector its Red with a Black stripe and gray dots, or vice versa. Which should I connect my red wire to? thanks man

Yeah man, the harness DOES have 3 other wires, and im sure your right. Alot of things were different with this transmission then the stock one that blew. Such as the flex plate bolt holes, and the drives side axle did NOT just go right in like the stock one, so i kind of had to mod it to work...
ok guys, so I pulled the TCU, took it apart, and everything looked fine. Then looked at the wires going into the tranny and saw a few NOT connected to others, etc... Here's some pics, I hope it helps.In the 2nd picture, the sensor im pointing to has a RED wire coming off its harness thats...
