Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture. Sitting for 6 years is definitely enough time for the brake fluid to become contaminated and corrosive.

Bleeding these clutch systems can be a B*TCH! You'll defiantly need two people to do it. Do a search for how to bleed the clutch system, theres tones of articles!

This is the exact tool I use for every job, fits almost anything, you just have to hold the rubber down until you get some vacuum going and then it will hold itself

Vacuum bleeding is the easiest, fastest, and most efficient way to do it. I pull the system down to -20mmhg for 3-5 minutes 3 different times, checking the fluid level after each time. When you start it up it wont make a peep!

Clutch rod is within 1/2 turn of blocking return port. I've tried an extended slave rod with no change in quality.Tomorrow I'm going to bleed the system another 30 times and do a complete clutch reality check again with the car off the the ground and double check everything. Will post results.

Either way will work if done properly. If using RTV both mating surfaces need to be perfectly clean. Use brake clean and some paper towel to clean the surfaces, rag should be clean before applying RTV. If you use a gasket you absolutely can not over tighten the oil pan bolts or it WILL leak...

If you stick with a quality oil and and change it regularly you do not need to "flush" your engine. Biggest problem with it is if you have a lot of sludge buildup from cheap oil it can clog oil galleries once it starts letting loose.

Find a wiring diagram for you starting circuit and check to see if your getting power and ground where your suppose to. Your not getting a signal to your starter

Very likely you have air in the lines...or a weak pressure plate. If you adjust your master rod to far out you will get "pump up" after you drive the car for a while.
