Remove the MBC and have it set like you had before. Use new vac hoses. Drive the car and see how it performs. If it went back to how you remember it, re-install the MBC. Again, use new vac hoses. Check the old ones for rips or punctures.

If you have the $ get a 16g and FMIC. Big difference over 18psi of boost.

If you're not sure after assembling the belt. Turn the engine slowly a couple of times. Timing marks must line up again and you should not feel any tight spots (do this without spark plugs).
A lot of info on the boards.

As I said before this is something that I discuss with everyone. It's my opinion regarding the pressure side reading. FPR will always open at the baseline letting the fuel bypass.
Clean injectors? Clean fuel filter?TRILOGY TURBOS
I've been doing this for a long time and what most people forget is: what usually goes bad is not the journal bearings but the housing it self. The other thing is : not balancing the assembly? It wont last as it should. This small frame turbos turn up to 120k rpms!!!!!! Its just like building a...
Read as much as you can to understand how the car works and remember. Fix all oil and coolant leaks, make sure you have a good fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, clean injectors, test for boost leaks and make sure timing is correct and throttle body/idling is adjusted correctly. After that you...
Probably alternator or compressor belt.
Usually a gear popping out like that is a worn fork, but a bad mount would do it too since will shift the engine and transmission around.

Removing the cylinder head just do the right job the first time. Port & polish, 1mm over valves, performance springs and etc... I like Ferrea, since I don't have my own parts yet, but its up to each customer to see what they can afford.

Check your oil pressure ASAP with a good pressure tester. Your oil pump may be tired or the plunger inside the oil filter housing is open due to debris or something that nature.

Clean your battery posts and terminals with a wire brush. After tightening them back if you still able to move them just replace the terminals since they are worn out.

If you're not confident you can do it just take to a shop. Spend a bit more money and send the head to a machine shop to replace the valve seals, check the valves and wear on the guides. You don't want to do this twice in a short period of time. Make sure you understand the timing so you don't...
Replace the gasket but do yourself a favor, spend a bit more money and time and replace the valve seals and get the valve/guides clearance checked. Why do the same job twice right?

5w20 is too thin. This is something else that I always talk with my customers. If the engine is not fresh rebuild I put 10w40 in modern engines and 20w50 on older ones. Specially if they have more then 60k miles and in South Florida weather.

Machine it or sleeve it. That is the "lip" of the seal marking the crank. Odd uh? Rubber can cause that. You're probably leaking a good amount of oil there too.

On the video it sounded like you do have a exhaust leak but cant really tell. Exhaust is hitting or your "U" joints are giving up. They will "click" under load.

Bigger injectors for sure. Most of all you'll need an additive to lubricate the metal parts so specially the injectors wont clog. I sell a lot of fuel injectors to Brazil and they use alcohol, not a lot of problems there. But for tuning concerns you'll need about 25/30% more fuel with ethanol...
By any chance did you invert the wires for the temp switch and the coolant temp switch? I remember someone doing this before....the car starts and idles but then floods when getting to temp and dies. I can't remember if the plugs are the same or not but remember happening before.

First you have to check for boost leaks. Maybe you have a loose clamp and the pipe moves around some times sealing and some times not. Easy thing to do.
I don't think a cracked exhaust pipe would give more back pressure, anything it would give a faster exhaust out ...i.e. more POWER!!!!LOL...
As everyone is stating you have a positive crankcase pressure problem. Easily solved getting a new PCV valve or as another member mentioned using a "one way valve", that will seal better then the stock PCV valve. If you want to try you can remove the stock PCV valve, install a regular hollow...

i have a weird oil leak coming from the front of the engine. i changed the castle plug o-ring to a thicker one but still the same problem. when i rev the car to high rpm i get a oil mist that comes from that side. i checked all the pulleys and i dont see anything. i found other people with the...
