Ok so we got this damn thing going again tonight and here is how it goes/went. Take the car out and it runs good at 10 psi, turn up the boost to say 13-15 and it falls on it's face and starts to miss. It acts like it's loading up/missing even at idle. If you shut it off and let it cool down it...
New problem now, last night we took it out for a drive and the boost controller was out of wack, car was running like 23 psi. We turned it down to about 12 psi and the car wants to stumble and miss real bad. We tried new plugs and wires, another MAF and discovered a major boost leak. We fixed...
How is the auto on the street, I honestly do not know much about autos. I have heard that they are or can be laggy then the power comes on like a light switch.
Well this is all according to memory....for starters I was contacted by him and he said he wanted to do all of my coatings for free as long as I would kind of advertise for him. I agreed but stated that my car was still in Cleveland and that it would be a while before I got it back. I was asked...
I am thinking that if I am going to start from scratch it might just be better to go T3, more specifically the 3076. I can get a good tune on pump and a nasty tune on e85, a set of fic 2150s, double pumper and go from there. The 3076 sure looks impressive. I won't opt for that ceramic coating...
I no longer have that car, trying to build something that is a bit more street able. Not trying to wait to 6500-7000 rpm to make boost lol. I had honestly considered a hta68 but I don't think I will be happy with that level of power. I guess my question should be what will make 450+ hp on...
Awesome, thanks for the input. I was thinking maybe a black. I have never run a stroker myself but I like the idea for a street car. I am looking to make 450-500 if I can on pump, although that may be a stretch. How much boost are you running and at what rpm do you see full boost with the 2.3...
So I was going to buy another 1G (a running car) but I think I would rather buy a roller and just build it myself. I am thinking about having buschur build me a 2.3 rpm motor like he has in his evo. So what I will have is a 2.3 that can rev to 9000+ I want to be able to run it on 93 as there...
My main concern with this car is that it will not rev up, when you first start it it will but as soon as you let it idle is will not. it just bogs down.
Yeah I should have started there but I was to lazy to drive and get my tester lol. I can not wait to get this figured out, the car is super clean and been sitting in a garage since 1995. The guy my friend bought it off of had had it for about a year and never even drove it
all but the FIAV,O2 sensor and boost leak. I ran out of time and he is on vacation until monday. I will continue to check for problems when he gets back. I replaced the entire tb with the one I had on my car which everything ran perfectly as all the sensors only had 50k miles on them. What...
Ok, so a friend of mine bought a 91 tsi yesterday and it has a strange problem, then again it's a strange car. The car is a 91, someone put a 1990 harness in it and switched all the components (ignition, throttle body, cas) with 90 parts yet the edu is from a 91. The car wants to run rough and...
Swpped out a CAS and mpi relay today with no luck. If you pull the cas and crank the car over and turn the cas by hand still no spark. I will check the voltage for drop.
Car is perfectly in time. when you spin the cam angle sensor by hand there is a spark but when you put it back on to the car and try to start it there is no spark.
friend of mine bought a 1g of a guy who said the car died on a quick trip around the block.there's power to the ECU but no spark until you stop cranking. What could cause this?
