Yeah I just hit 333k. Car will have no problem hitting 400.Only internal parts replaced were lifters and valve stem seals. Stock block and head gasket. 18psi on a 14b/16g setup.
Best was 13.935@104 spinning and horrible 60ft.
I'm looking for a good condition no missing or grinding gears fwd turbo trans. lmk asap, lost second, forth and reverse last night. lmk prices. oregon and southern washington area only.
i know any play on the pumps is bad, but mine has almost none. and no shavings in the coolant(flushed). Should i take the alternator belt off and see if it stops?
I can not find this specific noise description anywhere here. I took a video of it.
sometimes it wont do it at all, and than a few days itll do it all the time.

I just actually removed this valve cover today to put on a mitsu one.
The studs i took from the same car (hyundai) and used them, with the rubber washers.
The spark plug area bolts are the same as others except the 2 next to the timing belt side. They are the only 2 shorter studs of the bunch...
There was also a 1g monster truck but i couldn't find it.<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tmUOO4wynUI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed...
Alright guys, I got the stud out!! It was laying in the pan. Thank god .
Pan came loose after a couple taps with a rubber hammer.
Now it's time to put it back together.
One last question, should I throw some RTV on the pan, it still has the orange oem stuff on it.
Someone should know if that gallery goes to the oil pan is what i'm stating. Your post was useless. I already knew if it was in the pan than im good, and if not i'm in trouble. :notgood:
Im in the process of taking the oil pan off right now. I just came inside to check on replies. I'm pretty sure its in there it made a thunk noise .:pray:
I found some posts on this but on different passages. Question is i was taking off the stud for the hyundai valve cover and it fell down into this gallery right below the 10 hole (pictured)
I'm pretty sure it went to the oil pan since i heard a splash noise.
Am i cool to take oil pan off and...
Was it an aftermarket plug? The colors just might be different. Easy way to wire it up the right way is hold them side by side and just match each wire one at a time to the one in each pin. If that makes sense. Also maybe it was cut off and sold to you like that just to make it "run".
Could not find anything on this.
I bought a Mitsubishi valve cover, to replace my hyundai one, but the gasket doesnt work for it? it seems to big? is there specific gaskets for these? the covers are exactly the same.
My buddie Asked me to goto a car auction with him, says hey there's a DSM there.
I said "it's probably hacked up and/or non turbo.
So I said whatever I'll go check it out.
Hmm so i go to pop the hood. bam 4g63t, huge oil puddle in the spark plug wire area (oil cap had no seal, shh)and dirt...
I just caught this thread and had some roller skates sitting in my closet i stole some bearings from. :D Did this in about 20 mins, havent driven the car yet (1am here) But just sitting inside shifting i can tell a huge difference. I dont have to fight the shifter out of 5th anymore. :rocks:
Posted on craigslist already, short on cash and need a quick good used one for cheap.
Mine is shaking and wobbling everywhere.
I just need something to get me by, as im still job hunting.
messege me if you have got one, ill throw my number to you.
thanks everyone.
My fans were coming on late, it was right after i switched in a different radiator so i swapped the sensor thats inside the bottom of the radiator with my original one. Bam back to normal.
Look up under your dash and see if your master is leakin on your carpet for one, than go check the slave, pull the rubber boot back and see if it has fluid in it indicating the seal is bad.also check this link to see if your pedal is adjusted properly and bleed the hell out of the system if...
Are you still using the 2g tps? If so you dont need to have the idle switch plugged in but you still can use it for an idle stop, when i cleaned my tb it opened it up so much more that my idle switch was holding it open to far and the isc was fighting it . Make sure the idle switch isnt screwed...
that green and white should be the positive for the dimmer, Maybe he had an alarm in there at one point?? Id try to look for a wire diagram. Is 12v coming from both those 2 red wires??
Do you have an aftermarket vacuum/boost gauge?? To see where your vacuum sits, BLT is the first thing to do as everyone else is saying. Is timing dead on? Any CELs? ( check engine lights)
I had a leak like that it was the thermostat housing hose and it would only drip or spray when i was getting on it so popping the hood you wouldnt see it.
it could be running down and running along the metal. Check the firewall heater hoses.
the metallic stuff on the j pipe is probably from the turbo scorching the sides of the housing.
my old 14b did this, and it sounded like a kid eating frosted flakes in my turbo. :tease:
Anything over stock clutch set up you should replace the fork and pivot ball.
After doing my clutch (oem replacement) and putting everything back together and wondering why my clutch pedal had no pressure until 2 inches off the floor and to find out it was the clutch fork worn to hell and...
Recirc. of course. Car runs amazing other than coming to a stop, or coasting in neutral, sometimes it wont do it for a few hours, sometimes days. :ohdamn:
I also have the sonata cover, i just removed the studs from the hyundai head and used them. Better change of not stripping the threads on the head. :thumb:
My car will randomly die coming to a stop or putting the car in neutral.
Biss is set perfect, no CELs, no vacuum/boost leaks.
I searched and read how to test this (without a pressure gauge)
I pulled of the vacuum line and it has no fuel in it, but the idle did not change at all?
Could this...
Did you accidentally unplug the hose going to the wastegate actuator? check all hoses. easy way to run until you do get a MBC is run a hose directly from the jpipe nipple to the wastegate actuator. :thumb: also while your down there take out the pin on the wastegate arm and make sure it opens...
