I cleaned my engine today and now my starter wont engage it spins but it will not engage to the flywheel to turn the engine over. Is it my starter, maybye a relay? Thank you for any help!Mike

I know I should know this by now, being as I have owned DSM's for the past four years now. Any info would be great and also how can you tell the difference, what years did which come on. ThanksMike
Anything to let some pressure out would be good, most catch cans just have like a little filter on the top to let the gases out. They look like the the ones found here http://roadraceengineering.com/eclintake.htm third item down on the page.Mike
Does your catch can have a filter on top or anything? From the sounds of it you have a catch can that has one inlet adn one oulet and the out let is supposed to hook up to your intake pipe and the can is just there to catch the oil from entering the intake. It needs a way to vent.Mike
Dejontool.com makes one that expands to 2.25''. you should be able to get a clamp on it using a peice of straight 2.5 inch. You could probably give them a call and ask for them to bump it up to 2.5''. Good luck.Mike
The kit is awsome for the price, I don't think it can be beat.I wouldn't reccomend that you remove the bumper as suggested above, as it helps alot in reducing flexing in the body, just like a strut tower bar but a big one. But cutting it how eclipse90gsxt has it is the way to go. And you...
It is an EvoIII, but I was trying to keep it general being as they are the same throughout their different turbos and people wouldn't question whether or not theirs is the same or not.If the flow where restricted down through a -6an line would that still cause problems, or the other...
Thanks for the information, and I did establish that the fitting at the turbo is M12X1.25. I found a banjo fitting that may work it is m12X1.25 but it connest directly to a -6AN hose. Would there be any problem with using a reducer to bump the hose down to -4an? Or even getting an adapter and...
I'm looking to make my own oil feed line and I'm not sure of the thread size that is needed for either end. I'm going to be running it off my oil filter housing and using an MHI turbo, I believe they are all the same size fitting. Also, would it be wise to eliminate the banjo fitting for...
Stock sized valves will be suffice to reach your goals, and that way you won't have to worry about sealing issues that can arise when going with oversized valves. Also, even if you get a really good deal on the valves the cost of the extra machine work to get them to fit will more than offset...
Has the nut holds the lever on the end of the assymbly backed out causing to stip out the end of the rod? Hopefully you know what I'm talking about it's kinda hard to explain. If you can, try and get a ratchet up there and pull your clutch pedal up to the cruise control switch(all the way up)...
Your car sounds like it is acting normal to me(while in the air). You could try and put some resistance on the wheel that is spinning and see if it transfers power to the other wheel. I don't read these forums to often, so I'm not sure of the problem you where experiencing to bring you to test...
My opinion:Motor-Castrol 5-30 synthetic

4:10 Roll Bars
Mandatory in all cars running 11.99 or quicker, or per Class
Requirements. All roll bars must be within 6 inches of the rear or
side of the driver's head, extend in height at least 3 inches above
the driver's helmet with driver in normal driving position, and be at

The FWD turbo tranny is a F5M33, I hate when people post false information. If you don't know what you are talking about don't pipe in.You can usually go to a dealership and ask them to print out a diagram of the transmission so you can find what you need when you take it apart. The diagram...
It should take a maximum of an hour to do. I could do mine in probably about 15 minutes because I've opened these trannys up a time or 20. So if you want to be fair pay for an extra hour of labor.Mike
I'm not sure if you can send the peice to Shepard to have it machined, cause he has it listed as an option in a complete rebuild. If you can I would suggest that route. I have not tried his bearing upgrade but I'm sure he has run it in his car and still is. But like I said before, if you have...
On your transmission there won't be a bearing there it is only a shim plate. On shep's peice it is machined to take a bearing to give you less friction than that shim plate. If those two pieces are still good on your spare tranny than I would just swap them in. the shim you would need to measure...
I would never use a gear that was a little chipped up our transmissions are so tempramental I would try and get everything fixed right the first time and save youre self alot of agony in the long run. If you have a digital cammera take some pictures of the parts you need and I will see what I...
I might be able to get you that bearing brand new factory one. I'm looking into it right now. I will let you know how much it is as soon as I find out.Mike
Chances are that you will be fine. Just inspect the area of the motor mount for any stress on the engine or mounting piont and put it back together.Mike
Looks like it's time to start baying that thing. Just make sure you put some good fluid in the trans your putting in and shift it like a grandma, and it will treat you alot better.
If you don't have t-bolt clamps on there already than that is your answer. I don't see how it is possible to blow one off, unless it is lubricated and has no bead on the end of the pipe. you could also try giving your pipes more of a bead with either a welder or an exhaust shop can do it by...
I don't think Defiant is to far off on his statment. Somtimes the DSM's hydraulic system is a pain in the rear to get to work properly. My guess is that your mastercylinder is not adjested properly resulting in quick failure. When you get it adjusted to where you think it is good make sure you...
