heh heh... Start/Finish zone from Race Capture, so I can trigger relay 4 (Lap/Trip) so that lap times will display on the stack instrument cluster.

Adding a USB to CAN bus to Pilink is kicking my butt. I decided to try a different adaptor with SocketCAN support so I can use Python-can libraries. That will arrive friday. I’m also trying to use a USB SSD to see if there is any meaningful performance improvement. Boot from USB is working...

Yeah - nope. This USB to CAN adaptor is too hard to setup for Linux. No aparent support for it in the current version of python-can. Seems to work on a windows device ok. https://www.seeedstudio.com/USB-CAN-Analyzer-p-2888.html Back to the drawing board.

Initially my issues were with the fitment of the bracket in my model year GSX. The template they have (had) for the drivers position would not work for the 95 GSX center tunnel. They now have a way to make a bracket that fits - be sure to ask for it. After that 1st issue was resolved, my...

Ah - a clue. The adaptor shows no outgoing traffic. No pulse signals. My can-utilities are configured, but not talking to the device. I went back to google, and found this: USB-CAN-Analyzer Did this: Lynux driver: cd ~ git clone https://github.com/kobolt/usb-can cd ~/usb-can gcc -o canusb...

Ugh, well I built an OBD2 cable so I could connect into a known good CAN network in my Rav4, only the can dump didn't see any traffic. O-Scope on the Rav4 CAN showed the High and Low square wave pattern in pulses, CHECK Resistance Between High and Low CAN bus was 60 ohms, CHECK This was...

Basically - Yes. I'd go for the middle.

    Installing a 1g CAS in a 2g

That's just it!, It's not going to change the timing of the injectors. Timing (spark and injector) is based on crank signal. The sequence, or "firing order" (1324) is based on a combination of the crank and cam signals. If the crank signal is inverted, or shifted too far out of alignment, the...

    Installing a 1g CAS in a 2g

If you are you referring to the +/- adjustable range of the 1G CAS, somewhere in the middle is fine. If you have an o-scope and two probes, you could "align" the crank signal from the CAS with the crank signal on the crank. As long as its close, you should be fine.

    Installing a 1g CAS in a 2g

Uuuuh, so... The ignition (spark) timing is based on the crank signal. If you don't care to adjust "mechanical" ignition timing, then yes - Just keep the crank sensor on the crank for a fixed "mechanical" timing. IMO - fixed mechanical timing at the crank is more accurate. A crank signal from...

Had to tighten this more to address this fuel leak here: Thankfully "moretighter" did the trick. Now to the other side - I needed to replace the tank seal, and old hoses. This is the angle I want to reproduce. By referencing the return line fitting with a tool, I marked the edges of the...

New product launch: PiLink for ECMLink owners

Basically a 95-96 ECU is expecting a signal inverted from what the 1G CAM position sensor gives. If you don't invert the signal with ECMLink, or by building an inverter into the cable, you need to fix two issues. 1. Invert the coil pack trigger wires - or change the order the plugs are...
