ECMlink (help) nitrous setup with ecmlink v3 full

Not to change the topic too much but any reason you went with a dry shot over a wet shot? I just installed a wet shot to get up on the converter and chose the wet kit to have that “on-demand” system with the press of a button!I do like the idea of having ECMLink control it to ease the launch...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

Who peed in your Cheerios this morning?Saying the AN fittings look better than a slip over doesn’t mean they are rice haha So if I buy a set of aftermarket rims because I like the look better than stock rims, it’s rice? Gtfo You can say AN fittings are “ridiculous” but majority of those who...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

I guess I am not following, he is using a sealed can. The photo he posted in the original post is a random one he pulled off google, he says it in his paragraph. His setup will work just fine, it matters more about the material inside for what it will remove before entering the intake pipe.The...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

Honestly you can switch same sizes fittings Around and it won’t do anything. Here is a pic with the two fittings circled that you use for the PCV and BOV, choose whichever is easier to route for you. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a stock manifold in use but I think it was red is BOV and...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

The last owner likely just ran them down towards the ground and are not connected to anything. Just look on the intake manifold and find a fitting that is the same size and in the general location, use that one. The PCV will have one right by it and near that is another fitting in similar size...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

Just run the breather hose from the valve cover to the inlet of the can and the outlet to one of the fittings on the intake PIPE by the filter, that’s it.
  12. Boomdeeze

2G Catch Can install, this it?

Here is a picture of my setup, both cans are sealed. The breather was upgraded to a single -12AN. The PCV is still stock sized (3/8) and is run to the the sealed Mishimoto separator Then to the intake manifold, I have two of those check valves between the can and intake manifold.

2G Catch Can install, this it?

It matters what you’re intending the car to be. If the car is a race setup, vented will be fine as you will change your oil more often. If it’s a daily/street driven, you would want the sealed with a vacuum draw. Yes you can run the open on the road and people do it but that’s the general idea...
  14. Boomdeeze

2G Catch Can install, this it?

No your BOV will run to a nipple on the intake manifold. The BOV has a different nipple than the PCV.
  15. Boomdeeze

2G Catch Can install, this it?

The picture you posted in post #3 is how I have mine run. You run the breather(Left side of VC) to a seal separator to the intake pipe(pre turbo). The PCV line runs to a second sealed separator can to the intake manifold with a check valve between the separator can and intake manifold. So to...

    4 month old e85 = white smoke

Just looking at the video, you're idling at ~11.8 A/F, bet that is why you are smelling e85 at idle haha But it does look like steam to me as well as it disappears as soon as it gets passed the garage door. If it is white smoke, it would carry further before disappearing.

1G Best way to line up a 1g throttle body

I have run a 1G throttle body in my car for 10+ years and have never had an issue with it being off center or leaking because the bolt holes are larger. I ask for pictures of your car to see if something is wrong/modified that you may be over looking. You have multiple people asking you to do...

2G Catch Can install, this it?

That is how I run mine, two separate cans and both have their vacuum (PCV to intake has two check valves in line to the catch can). Make sure you get oil/air separators rather than just empty cans or they won't do much.

Well seems like a lot of people are still confused and wanting to help haha There are plenty of people asking for more info after post 4. If that is how you fixed it then mark it as fixed, sounds like post 4 is what you need to do.

    1G #3 injector not firing

I just had this happen and turned out to be the wiring that went in to the connector. All the wires broke except for one which was holding it in place. Where do you put the turbo water fitting? I use the stock one just bent at a 90* to slip the hose over.

Looking for fuel leak at high boost

I agree with Paul, hook a vacuum pump up to the FPR and slowly raise the pressure by applying “boost” and look for leaks. I guess you could just crank the regulator closed to check but never done it that way.

Resolved 2g No Start/ Very Rich

Looks like I found it! The plug and play connectors for the FIC 2150s was the culprit. I have the solder in injector connectors so I soldered that in...

Do you think having the global that far off would cause a no start? It’s just weird because the car started with all of the current settings before and all of a sudden won’t start. 2 different Walbro 450 - F90000267 F90000274

That makes sense, I am hoping I don’t regret going 6an rather than the 8an, was easier since I had a 6an filter and rail setup. The 6an lines with the 295 pump should take me to the limit of the DSM82 but time will tell! Have a few new secrets this year too ;)

    2 different Walbro 450 - F90000267 F90000274

Are you still on the stock hangar setup with the oring? Once I started nearing the 40psi mark I was experiencing a lean condition and was trying several things to narrow it down. One of the last possibilities was the oring(I used the Toyota seal). I said screw it and went to the 6an so I could...

    2 different Walbro 450 - F90000267 F90000274

Before the 295 my Aeromotive compact FPR would hold pressure but I don’t believe it would hold it for days.I have recently been looking in to regulators as I move in to the 40 psi boost range. I switched to the Walbro 535(also referred to as the Walbro 550, both have part number F90000295) and it is an amazing pump. Yes it does not have a check valve but ECMLink has a prime function that turns your pump on when the ignition is turned on so no need to worry about having fuel pressure...
