Since I'm redoing the harness, there will be a cannon plug bolted to the fire wall for quick disconnect. The oem harness hole will no longer be used for the harness. I will probably get a sheet of steel to cover the oem hole as well, so that the opening is smaller, and drill holes in that for...
Another idea to consider for cheaper costs, is the wheel bearing. Find a wheel bearing that'll fit the DSM axle, and the Saturn hub. Could be a quicker and cheaper solution.
Not a 1G, but still an idea for you. I've routed the cables to the trunk for mine too. I'm doing a wire tuck and moving things around and no longer need the oem harness hole in the firewall for the harness. I have now routed my cables through it and will be searching for a apiece of rubber for a...
This is a nice idea. I do however have a brand new compressor for the car already. But this might be a future investment. I like that it electric and can be mounted anywhere. Still need to figure out a solution for the condenser though.
I'm in progress of building my 95 GSX for road racing. I found a nice 2.5 mile road race track a couple hours away, so it has encouraged me to replan aspects of my car. I do want to occasionally drive it on the street, or drive it to work (1.5 hr drive one way), but the main focus will be for...
If you find the right thread, there is a way to program the oem key fob by bridging a couple pins on the OBD2 port, and doing a specific function with the fob buttons and ignition switch. I've done this once, and it worked great. I can't find it anymore, now that I have to do it again though.
Also be sure they didn't happen to swap auto with manual mounts or vise-versa. I've done this swap many times as well and never had any alignment problems.
My counter to this is he said:However, the hood would make sense to an extent. The cam cover would never be hard enough to wear the metal cam gears down, whereas the hood would. Also, see if the hood likewise has any wear marks. Still try that idea I mentioned earlier, there really shouldn't...
Rebuilding the pump is pretty straight forward. I just ordered a rebuild kit from here for the same reason: https://www.extremepsi.com/store/OEM-Power-Steering-Pump-O-Ring-and-Seal-Kit-Mitsubishi-Eclipse-95-99-FWD-AWD.htmlDone it before and it was easy.
To be fair, yes, they never got done. Don't judge things when you don't have the entire picture . Also, don't leave out the whole story. Such as you offered up your parts for me to use as prototyping for the 1G portion of the community, for free. You were to get the entire setup for free, for...
@bduran1220
I understand your frustration and sorry it has gotten this far. Please understand I am in a full time job that is 1, over a hour and a half commute, and 2, we are severely understaffed due to covid and forced to work 12-16 hr shifts, almost daily. I have limited time, and haven't...
I just got a new FuelLab fuel filter and have been trying to decide where to mount it. I can't put it in the oem location, and want it elsewhere anyway so the fuel line isn't bunched up. Does it matter if the filter is oriented straight up like the owm filter or positiones down on it's side...
Another Parts Delivery...This might be my last major update for a while. Not because the car is being sidelined, but because I'll be doing a lot of little crap. Will make a larger update when the time is right though.I finally got new camshafts, Kelford 272s, and bought ARP cam gear bolts to...
I'm finally starting to do my wire tuck and got to my front O2S. I noticed this braided wire running along the other 4, but it wasn't connected to the plug. What needs to be done here for this? I do plan on getting new plug connectors soon, so none are broken, so if it needs to be attached...
Relief...This has been a job I've put off for too long, I decided to remove my front subframe to finally work on the broken compression arm bolt stuck in the body. Well I was wrong. The bolt did indeed shear off, however, it wasn't in the body. Thankfully it bolts to the subframe itself. Happy...
Once the car is finished, I might do some autocross, but the forward facing ofh is because I hate removing my downpipe every time I need to change ge the oil. Plus I never liked the oem oil cooler on the ofh. I like to have less coolant lines in places I don't want them.
I'm looking for a forward facing 6 bolt OFH that has the ports for an external oil cooler. Do these even exist? I have a normal side facing OFH with the cooler ports, and now a forward facing OFH, but it doesn't have those ports. As asked, does it exist?
More Progress...I've done a little bit more in my spare minutes of free time. I got my new braided clutch line installed along with a new clutch master cylinder. All plumbed up nicely to the new reservoir, bracket, and cap.I got a new slave cylinder too, but that'll go on later once the...
Weird. Yeah, without the IAC, you have to maintain idle yourself until it warms up. I wouldn't mind deleting mine, but being in CO, it's not worth it. I kinda like letting it idle itself without my help.Only asked about the state since you're in TX. Figured if it was a TX car, it got deleted...
I have removed my EGR and emissions system as my area of the state does not require emission testing. So that means less dirty air being routed back to the intake via the EGR, so cleaner air/fuel mix. I recently bypassed the FIAV so that I don't need coolant routed to my throttle body. Keeping...
So these will NOT be part of the subframe set then right? Just want to be sure. Also, when will deposits be needed by, 28 Feb, or is that when all 480 is needed by?
