I used the canvas woth heated glass window. And as these guys said working it with the top slightly open helps a lot and stretches it tight when you close it completely
Nope never done it before. If you have any mechanical skill you can do it yourself. It comes a Lil over sized so you'll have to trim it. Measure thrice cut once lol
Stopped a power steering leak from when I replaced the rack and couldn't get hose on all the way. It also had one of those bs squeeze hose clamps so I reached my arm in the smallest of space to put a real hose clamp on and get hose all the way on. It was a bi***. Also fixed a couple boost leaks
It means you need to research deeply before asking a question to do with ecmlink that is literally found on their page. Learn this stuff don't expect someone to tell you everything
I had this issue when I first installed dsmlink. It was on cylinder one though. Checked every possible cause and ended up sending back to ecmtuning where they recreated the symptoms. Was the ecu I bought from them. They fixed it and haven’t had a problem since
Okay so I'm having an issue and can't find anything on it here on tuners. Everything is hooked back up, left mounting bolts loose to have play to hook up steering linkage. However I can't get it to sit down together all the way. Any info or suggestions to get this done? It's the only thing...
Lol I used the squeeze and contort your arm in method. Jk I backed bolts out some so I could squeeze in there and get them from the bottom. Was by far the hardest part of the whole ordeal. My arms are tore up like I got in a fight with a cat
Got a new... Well new to me, rack. Got it all hooked up and bolted in and made a rookie mistake and didn't bolt up steering linkage lol so my next day off I'll be going back in and getting it all back together correctly
So my rack is shot... Well not shot it just leaks ps fluid bad. With me having no prior experience with this part of car should I get a whole new rack or buy a seal kit and see if that fixes it first?
Oh yeah I know what you mean man I was just saying the turbo is all that's left of eBay parts under my hood I've replaced all other stuff. But the turbo been ran for 1.5 years from just me and who knows how long it was on it before I bought the car. But it hasn't had any issues.
I hear you bro. I will take your advice and get a fsm. I do have a guy who does amazing work on the 4g63 platform and he cuts me deals cuz he would rather work on a 4g that any other motor. Dude knows his shit. I'm actually about to have him replace my throw out bearing cuz when the clutch was...
Yeah I'm talking about the chinabay crappie that I'm replacing. My new ic pipes are off eBay but they aren't a mechanical moving part so I figured they'd be okay but other than that any eBay stuff getting replaced all I have left is turbo to save up for
That's actually what I'm working on is replacing all the eBay junk the previous owner had on it. All that's left now is the turbo. Thanks for the advice everyone
Well I've had the car a Lil over a year and half. Turbo was already on it. Haven't had any issues with it though but everyone scaring me telling me eBay turbo are garbage lol. Maybe with the new piping it'll spool faster since it won't be gushing air through the hole anymore. Eventually I'll...
I like doing everything I can myself and I have except for the timing. But he did show me my old belts and tensioners and what not and he came highly recommended. I would definitely take my car to him if it was anything I didn't feel I could handle. I don't have a lot of tools or money so the...
Yeah man I got timing belt and tensioners changed just a couple months ago I ain't all that brave enough yet to mess with timing lol I'm still learning and most of the things I have learned came from this site and I appreciate all input... Even sarcastic smart asses lol jkjk I really do...
Oh I expect it from the dsm community lol. I'm.never selling my car most the stuff done to it was already done when I bought it. And mostly eBay parts. Working on replacing all that with quality parts. Slowly but surely it'll get where I want it.
First off f*** you. I had a blown coupler that I thought was my boost leak I got a new one and figured it was fixed. Then when it was still idling funny I started tearing stuff apart and came across the hole in the pipe. I never claimed to.be the all knowing DSM God gtfoh with your bullshit
Lol right on. Anyway ordered new ic piping and gonna bend the bracket that caused the hole. Maybe it'll fox my idle issue that was a lot of air escaping
Because a boost leak ain't gonna mess with idle.... Maybe a vacuum leak which I know I didn't have. And Damn sure didn't expect it to be that big. Only issue I was having that made me know I had a boost leak was running a tad rich during wot. Didn't have idle problems till the past week or so...
I have a no name bov for sale. Still in good working order was running 20 psi on it with no leaks. Upgraded to a greddy type s is reason for selling. $50 +shipping and pp. Obo
