    1G Timing tensioner arm question

Yeah, thats another option. I will say that it was a success in centering my timing belt so its tracking properly. It might not be "exactly" centered, but the belt probably moved about 1/8 inch which is quite a lot.Not the best pictures to show the difference, but the difference is significant.

    1G Timing tensioner arm question

I had ordered the Oilite bushings but after almost 6 weeks or so I got a refund. The bushings from 90-99 looks to be the same, and if listings are correct the 2h arm is also the same that the evos use up through 9? I think. The bushing isnt a complete O but is actually like a C that when...

    1G Timing tensioner arm question

The only reason im working on it is to get it back to how it should be so there isnt any reason the timing belt should shred. The arm was basically flopping like a fish. The bushings and even the stud that the arm goes on is worn. Cant get the stud which looks like you can press out and replace...

    1G Timing tensioner arm question

I was able to get some new bushings and Im cleaning and doing any maintenance and was wondering if the arm is supposed to be flat, or have a dimple in it.Is the dimple supposed to be on the arm where the hydraulic tensioner makes contact or is it supposed to be flat. If its supposed to be...

Well, im currently going through the process of a chargeback to get my money back since I cannot get in touch with the guy. Doesnt check emails and apparently doesnt care about his business. Dont know the policies on here so I wont put them on blast, though I think people should steer clear.

I have a Haynes book and to be honest, its pretty good. There arent some things in it and all the torque stuff in it that I checked in other places that use the FSM look to be the same. I will reference other stuff all the time though.

There are passages around the cylinders that water flows through. A few of these were plugged on his van so water couldnt circulate properly bad circulation led to water sitting in an area, boiling and causing the system to pressure. A bad head gasket can force pressure into the system as well...

My dads van had an overheating issue with it and the pressure was going sky high. I think he used a pressure tester on it. I think with his van it wasnt the head gasket even though he changed both of them, but it was just plugged up so the water wouldnt circulate which caused it to boil and...

If the water pump is coming out the timing belt has to come off. At least I dont know any other way of getting the pump out without removing the timing belt. Might as well just tell him to replace the timing belt while its off. And maybe replace the timing belt tensioner arm while you are at it...

Thats overlapping off the back of the gear. I dont know if thats why my belt ended up in 3 pieces, or if the backing plate was bent because I had to get a new one of those. I dont know if the backing plate (also called trigger plate) was bent before, or if the belt flopping around bent it or...

It takes a while for them to wear out but when they do you know it. The timing belt in my case is off the cam gears slightly. Had a belt shred which was either caused by the arm or the backing plate being bent slightly which just got worse when the belt shredded bending it even more.Either...

1G 1g 7 bolt timing belt tensioner arm the same as 2g?

Ill have to get those on sunday. Could be a combination of...

I have a 1g 7 bolt 4g63 and the timing belt is riding the inside of the cam gears (overlapping the edge a little) and did research to find the cause is most likely the tensioner arm and the front cover gasket could be causing an issue creating a wedge. All I want to know, and ive looked, is if...

Sure, fast charging exists, and at 0% it takes about 20 minutes to do 50% but its not 40 minutes to 100%. It's over an hour, but that isn't anywhere close to a couple of minutes when it comes to fuel. That number is also with a purchase of a supercharger or using the supercharge station for...

There is an issue with electric turbos, and that is power. Not in the power it can produce, but the power that the electric turbo needs to spin enough to create boost.
