    1G O2 Sensor Connector Pins

Does anyone have a source for new female pins that go in the harness side connector for the 1g oxygen sensor?I'd like to clean up my wiring and I can't find any information on these pins. I've messaged Ohm racing to see if they sell just the pins but I haven't heard back yet.Thanks.

I've got nothing to help with your questions but I like hearing about the car. You got any recent pics of the new chassis and engine bay?

Tell me you’re a die hard without telling me you’re a die hard

Yeah it was fun but the 2.4l with a 14b fell on its face real hard at about 6k rpms. I think the hx35 I'm adding will help with that though. That's my wife's old 97 gst spyder that I regret selling.

Tell me you’re a die hard without telling me you’re a die hard

Here's some random photos. I built a 4g64/63 and I put most my money into the engine and not what's bolted to it. I'm slowly trying to fix that now though.

Tell me you’re a die hard without telling me you’re a die hard

I'm somewhat invested (and kinda dumb). They all run too believe it or not with the exception of the conquest because I took it down to add a second turbo during the holidays. I'm trying to convince my wife to get a 97 red spyder gst auto so we can have identical cars (mines a 5 speed tho). She...

Will 4g64 wideblock bolt onto a stock starion tranny

I've done the swap. I have a bunch of photos and I had a build thread over on starquestclub but it looks like the site had some issues and lost a ton of data including most of the post in my thread. Edit: I did not use the 4g64 head, I used a 63 DOHC head.

Will 4g64 wideblock bolt onto a stock starion tranny

Yes, a wideblock 4g64 6 bolt engine will bolt to the factory starion transmission.

Also, sorry if you mentioned it already but are you using a 63 or 64 belt? I think the 64 is slightly longer. I can't remember for sure, but I think my came gears lined up like stock since I used both a 64 intake and exhaust cams. Are you sure the gears need to be adjusted as far as you did...

Resolved Extend master clutch rod or shim pivot ball

Yeah I agree. I can't explain it. It must be something going on in the master cylinder. I assumed since my pedal was so mushy for half the throw, the piston somehow wasn't moving fluid properly. I assumed adjusting the rod further into the master cylinder sort of preloaded it so as soon as I...

Resolved Extend master clutch rod or shim pivot ball

I had this problem just last week. I swapped to a fidanza flywheel/ACT clutch setup. I bled everything but I could only get 3/8" of slave and the clutch would barely disengage right at the floor. Neither the slave or master were leaking, but they appeared to be original units so probably very...

    Sharkquest!

Good work man.I may have missed it, but it looks like you are going to be pushing coolant from the bottom of the radiator up through it and then into the block? Or are you reversing the flow of the coolant through the motor and instead of pushing it though the front of the block you are going...

    Sharkquest!

Very interesting idea with that RTV on the front case, I've always seen/used a paper gasket there. Also I haven't seen a gasket/rtv used for the oil pump gears cover like you did, usually those just bolt together without a gasket. Don't forget to put your castle plug in behind the oil pump sprocket.
  23. Devilsfutbol17

    Sharkquest!

Are you sure it won't work? Its clearly not sitting on the block correctly right now. It needs to be flipped at least once to line up. I'm guessing he just threw it on there for a photo.

Those bell housings are surely becoming harder to find. I found two trucks in the same yard that had them about 5 hours away from my house and when I got there only one still had the bell housing on the trans. That was a few years ago and since then the couple B2600's I've seen pop up (I get...

    Resolved No Reverse

I'm going to have to do some research because I don't know know what the manual valve is. I will say that before I grabbed this transmission out of my talon, I took it to a rally cross event and I dented this shit out of the trans pan and destroyed the magnets. There was a little bit of metal in...

    Resolved No Reverse

Well I thought the problem was solved, but I was wrong. I figured out going from park to reverse is just fine, the car will go in reverse like normal. Going from drive to reverse causes the issue where it will start moving but if you give it any gas it pops out of reverse and free spins until...

Nice man I like everything about this build.Regarding the 2ga cam angle sensor, I'm using one with a 1g ecu(also with a 2g crank trigger) so I'd imagine it will provide the cam angle to mega squirt just like a 1g CAS would. Little bit more info here...

    Resolved No Reverse

Thank you for the response. I guess I posted a little prematurely because with a little investigating I think I found the problem. My guess is the length of the 1g shifter cable coupled with the galant auto shifter was enough to not allow the trans to sit in the reverse position completely.So...

    Resolved No Reverse

@Bo0sTeD 4G63 what fixed your reverse problem? I just did an auto swap from a my 1g into my galant and I'm having the same issue with reverse. It clunks into reverse and will go, but it free revs when i give it gas. Reverse worked while the trans was still in my talon.

Looks like you are off to a good start. Your build looks similar to my initial build on my 88 conquest, although I used the original 4g64 crank. If you want to see what all your in for, check out my thread. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148920 I tried to take lots of...

Street Build 87 Mitsubishi Starion 4G64.3 Swap Time

63 wideblock would be nice, but they can be hard to find. If I were to do it again, the main thing I'd do differently is I would have made the machine shop balance the rotating assembly. I have a lot of engine vibration that I think could have been smoothed out if the system was all balanced...

Street Build 87 Mitsubishi Starion 4G64.3 Swap Time

I bought a 4g63 timing belt kit from extremepsi, but i selected the 4g64 timing belt from the options. My wideblock is a 6-bolt, so for the other options I selected 6-bolt components. https://www.extremepsi.com/store/Extreme-PSI-Timing-Belt-Kit-Mitsubishi-Eclipse-90-99.html

Nice, good work. Have you checked timing belt yet? Unless you have the details on when it was last replaced, it's probably a good idea to do the maintenance with the timing belt. When I bought my second GVR4 I didn't check the timing belt before hand and I drove it home 1.5hrs with a half...

4g64 serpentine belt broke, is it safe to drive still?

That belt drives your water pump, so I wouldn't drive it far without it or you could overheat. Not to mention your battery may not hold up long since the alternator isn't spinning.

Broken Crankshaft Key, Anyone seen this before? (Pics)

Happened to me as well. Problem started with the clutch after a few passes at the track. Wouldn't shift into any gear. Rev matched my shifts most of the way home before the balancer bolt came loose on the freeway and the car stalled. Clutch was garbage, valves were garbage, crank was garbage, etc.

    Your most recent welding pics

^Are all three of those bungs for o2 sensors? I put two in the downpipe I made because I wanted to keep the factory o2 sensor, but I offset them so the second one wasn't sitting in the drag behind the first one. Don't know if that makes a difference but it made sense in my little brain.

BEST WAY TO CLEAN RUSTY GAS TANK

Take it to your local radiator shop. They will clean it, make sure its sealed, and put a protective coating in it. It wasn't very expensive, I want to say around $100 for me to have it done. Too Big of Oil Cooler?

Has anyone noticed a drop in oil pressure when using an aftermarket oil cooler? I'm looking at getting a cooler that is 9.25" x 14.75" x 3" and I'm wondering if I could see too low of oil pressure at idle. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fld-db-30617I definitely need one and I figured I'd...

1G ISC motor issue, idle is completely random

Does it make a difference if the car is warm or cold? I'm assuming you still have your FIAV and that you hooked it up after you switched throttle bodys since you didn't mention it was bypassed.
  48. Devilsfutbol17

    2G ISC Reads 0

Sounds like you may need to adjust your BISS screw closed somewhat. Your BISS screw is allowing too much air through, thus your ISC is completely closed trying to lower your airflow at idle. You want the BISS adjusted so that at your warmed up idle speed you are at 30 steps on the ISC.

    1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

Your car looks great. I have a question for you, how is that heat shield on the exhaust manifold holding up for you? The tab that goes under the manifold to turbo bolts broke off on mine within a couple months of using it. I made a new tab out of steel and it too broke.
