yeah I hate decisions. I want a gps so I am considering the evoscan gps that displays boost and other gauges. The probem is the whole evoscan gps confuses me when it comes to compatibility and what exactly needs to be done.
thanks for the advice. everything seems to be holding u nice. now I just need a mounting solution. idk f I want a pillars, or something on the dash or center controls.
I have loved eclipse's ever since I was like 9 or some younger age. I knew there was a turbo awd model and this actually is what raised me on the love for both turbo cars, and awd cars. This then gre into a love for eclipse gto twin turbos, 32-34 GTR's, evo's and wrx's. my childhood dream car...
ok thanks. I knew where it normally gets connected, I just wanted to make sure the boost only gauge would still work there normally. Now I just need to figure out how to connect the t fitting onto the boost only kit since it came with different parts. hopefully I just need the T fitting.
Hey guys, I bought a boost only gauge from autometer as a temporary solution since I plan on buying evoscan gps. Do I need to tap into my intake manifold some how or just into a vacuum line like any other traditional setup? if so does anybody know what size t fitting I need?
Don't set your standards so low bro, think...V8's!! lol just kidding. If I am not mistaken the stock feul system MIGHT hold up to about 16 psi max but I assume that is on the stock turbo.
Update guys! So it turns out it was in fact the transmission. It was not the intermediate shaft though. The entire gear set was blown and the clutch was cracked and burnt! :( so Now I got an exeddy stage 1 in there; installed in a driveway and I put up another transmission. everything works now...
Let us know how you like it! Honestly the biggest affect is going to be in first gear while trying to be butter smooth. Even then, you will get used to it.
My brother has an RSX and we put an 8lb flywheel which is on the more extreme side of lightness and an rsx has a lot less torque so it is easier to stall. My opinion is it does not make the car un-drivable. In CT we have stop signs, parking and red lights at steep inclines that are very...
Thanks all of you! right now I have an exedy clutch kit, billet clutch fork, competition clutch flywheel, and redline trans fluid on the way. I am going to get shock proof for the transfer case and rear diff but first I want to ask, is it recommended to get the t-case rebuilt by someone like...
Its not that it is too much work, and I am lazy. Just hoping to get the car out of my friends driveway sooner than later if it was possible. I will update.
The guy I bought it from admitted to the car having been given a shady clutch job that afterwards started making the car act weird. the clutch job was for sure funky and way out of adjustment. In your opinion, do you think it is a higher chance that it is the intermediate bearing that a fouled...
it makes the grind sound while in neutral by simply moving the clutch either in or out. Basically ill press in the clutch, start car, their is no noise, as soon as I let off the clutch the noise comes and it is their regardless of the clutch going in or out, just changing to different pitches. I...
Ok guys, was under the car yesterday and the transfer case is leaking so I am going to contact jackstransmissions.com about getting a rebuilt T-case sent. Also the car can go into every gear while off and feels fine so I a ruling out the transmission being in need of service. The gears grab...
I agree with the master and slave. My brothers RSX was getting a similar problem and this was the culprit. As for tranny fluid I read that evo 9 MR gear oil is the best. I am in belief that you should not mix redline shockproof. Use it strictly for the transfer case and rear diff. I am new to...
Checked out both links. I don't get shifter play while driving local or highway. the VFAQ site had really good stuff but none seemed to match my problem =[. Thanks for the info and help though! I do not think it is the wheel bearing because it makes the sound at any speed and does not change...
Hello guys, I just purchased a 1999 eclipse GSX :D! This is my childhood dream car so it was a very sentimental purchase for me. So anyways, I bought the car for $3,500 knowing it needed work. Main problem with the car is somewhere in the drivetrain. My budget for fixing up the car is $3,000...
