Well after my first lauch at the dragstrip on saturday my shifter started acting up. I do like to shift hard to when i drag so that could be a reason. I most likely slammed it into third hard. When you try to put it into 1st, 3rd, or 5th it is VERY stiff (all most sticky when you put it into gear) but does go into gear but it goes into all the other gears normal. Will the stiff shifter kits fix my problem? Just wanted to make sure that when i buy the kit that it will fix the sticky shifter problem. Thanks!!!!!

You should inspect your shift cables and connections. All those are in the same direction and indicates a cable/conection/mounting problem.

Same thing is wrong with my tranny except that at high rev quick shifts it wont go into gear at all. After going over the cables about 1000 times I finally started looking at the tranny its-self. Take the upper intercooler pipe off so you can get to the lever mechanism on the tranny its-self and pull the cables off. Now move the transmission in and out of gear. I found that it slid into 1st 3rd and 5th smoothly and into 2nd 4th and reverse very roughly. I repeated the process only slamming the gears from 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th and 5th-reverse and it wouldnt go into gear no matter what. I'm pretty sure I have a bent shift fork. If you try this it will at least let you know if you have a problem with the cables or the tranny its self. I'm assuming that its probably the tranny its self as it is all in the shifts that require upward thrusts on the shifter mechanism its-self. Good luck!

Alright i fixed it. I bought an under the hood bushing kit and it solved the problem. shifts like new again. The rubber washer must have broken and was putting pressure on the shifter when you would put it in 1st -5th. Hope this helps people.

i had the same problem and i had to change the cables, but my problem was 2nd, 4th, and Reverse there was a moment that they didnt go in at all. so change it before that happens and then u will have to shift from 2nd to 4th and then reverse if it goes in v
