Mods are in my profile....I will pick up ARP head stud hardware over the weekend...I am looking for a sub 12.4 timeslip, YES I AM FWD but I think this is possible....I got suspension and tires on the way on top of the mods I have now....I really dont wanna pump race....Ive done a lot of search and looked at all my options cant decide whether to go 50 or 60 trim.....I am open to all opinions and sorry to beat the dead horse with a stick on "what turbo" subject....but I'd like some opinions for my goals my mods from fellow members. Thanks

well you seem to have the right info.. i'd go with the 50 trim since its' been proven to run 12's... goodluck trying to get traction though, i barely get any with the b16g

Thanks for the insight blcknspo0ln, I think I will have issues gettin the traction but I will try no matter what, I will also have the one of the best DSM shops, AMS , dyno and tune my car so if that helps any :thumb:

Ask Chris or Eric at AMS. They wont lie to you just let them know you have a FWD and need a turbo that spools around 3500 to hold tracion. The key with the FWDs is getting the car going before applying the boost to keep the tires on the ground. I had a problem with the stock turbo on my 92 FWD I had. Also drop the tire pressue in the frints down to 29psi cold giving the tire more movement insted of being solid and blowing the tires away. I now have a 90 AWD and will never go back to FWD sorry just wanted to rub that in but your times are very rechable just keep in good faith with AMS and they will get you there. :thumb:

Yea I went in to AMS today to pickup a resurfaced flywheel that came out GREAT BTW...and asked for his opinion...told him what I had and what I wanted and he said that a GT3255 will get me there. I am kind of skeptical of this turbo since I havent really seen any numbers, and would have bought one today at AMS had it not been that they are out of stock and they dont know when they are getting some in.......Gives me a couple of days to do some search though I think I might get this.....I hope I am not disappointed, wish me luck :thumb:

Maybe call slow boy racing and see what there toughts are for the hell of it. They also sell this turbo and have good customer support. Later

LOL eric loves that gt3255 turbo LOL,

leo go with the 60 trim, it will give you that extra spool time with some realy nice topend, im sure you remeber it on my car, even though i am awd but still LOL. the 60 trim will do great on pump and once race goes in there u will see even better times. just get some nice tires man.

There is a big discussion on this @ dsmtalk.com. I wish I could link it but for some reason I cant get on the site - so you can try going there and running a search for "50 trim or 60 trim". What it basicly says is that the turbo to choose is the 50trim. Its just a better all-around turbo. It can basicly do as much as a 60trim can and still give you better drivability. Also, I believe some shops have STOPPED selling/making 60trim setups being the 50trim blows it away.

Do your own research, make your own decisions, but as for my opinion goes - get a 50trim.
