Yesterday I was minding my own business and just cruising at about 40, and I see a car come up on my right and floor it after he's about even...my racing instincts kick in and I immediately floor it as well. It's an Acura RSX...an exhaust, m/t is what I can tell. I surged into 3rd and put 4 car lengths on him by the next light. I take the left lane, theres a car in the middle, and he takes the 3rd. I wasn't sure if he was gonna launch from the line so I just ease out on green...he comes over to the middle lane and lines up...then honks twice and drops gears. We're going 50. I wasn't expecting him to go on the 2nd honk so he puts two lengths in front of me before I go WOT....I immediately put 6 car lengths ahead of him and flashes my taillights twice...he then made a u-turn. The car seemed quick, and every time he shifted the RSX's nose would surge up and forward...but overall no match for my car.

The day before I'm on the highway after coming off a ramp...65 mph. A BMW goes flying by at about 90. I'm thinking alright this guy thinks he's hot shit and I just got tuned...let's go get a closer look. I catch up and line up next to his M3...I make it a point to stay dead even and accelerate a bit to challenge him...he smirks and floors it. I go WOT...for about 5 seconds we're almost even, then my boost kicks in and I put several car lengths between up until 120...having made my point I let off the throttle and he does the classic fly-by.

Yesterday on the expressway, there's a 96 or so Mustang GT that I pass. After a couple minutes he goes flying past me until maybe 110 and I see him brake. I think ok, lets play pony-boy. I catch up and stay even waiting for him to drop gears...I give him a head start since he likes to do unchallenged fly-bys...then after I go WOT I straight killed him by several car lengths and see him take the next exit after kind of sheepishly hanging way back behind me.

3 cars...all unimpressed by them. I'll give the RSX props though for challenging me fair and square. And twice after I beat him the first time. That was fun. The BMW was some sorry rich guy who apparently thinks more of his car than it deserves and the mustang was just slow.

Nice set of runs....u have to like the guy in the mustank all v8 guys are the same.....i have more power because its a v8.I taught a guy in a slowmaro last weekend when he thought he could challenge me i pulled hard the whole way, he stayed back and like u said he does the classic fly by and gets off an exit.... hey maybe one day they will learn but for now its just PREY.

Looking at your mod list i have to say, all nice kills. Especially because we have almost all the exact same mods. Now imagin how fun it would have been with a front mount. :D

A lightly modded DSM of any year is going to kick E36 M3 booty. Their at 240hp, which isn't bad, but not great either. They do make good turbo cars though. German Supra anyone?

An E46 is another ball game. 333hp ( SAE rated, DIN is 343hp ) is nothing to scoff at.

Take those guys to the track and own them with some real numbers. People always hate it when their time is posted for all to see, no if ands or buts.

The Euro models have always made more power. The USDM E36 is 240hp.

Groomz is right. The E36 is 240hp. My E46 stock is 333hp, with the Dinan mods I have 355hp. when I do the tb's 362hp, X and S pipes 370hp then down the road Dinan's supercharger. The Euro E46 M3's put out 343hp due to their less restrictive exhausts. I’m waiting do a bit more modding before I dyno my M. I sure as hell know that my DSM will walk my M as if it were standing still though.

Just realized I was mistaken. The BMW I raced wasn't an M3, but a 525i. I noticed that it was a sedan and the M3 is a coupe. Considering the 525 has like 185 hp stock, no wonder he was easy.

There is also an E36 M3 sedan, not just a coupe model. You don't really see the sedan as much but it's still out there. The new M3's are all coupe though :D Here's some more information and pictures about the sedan model. This is the European version, but the American version looks a lot like it.

nice kills.
the old body m3's made 240hp out of a 3.0 inline 6
the new m3's are 3.3l(??) putting out 333hp. i took one of them out a while back, before i was on tuners

the old m3's (e30 body style) had a 2.5l s14 4 banger. They put out 240 horse as well but had 4 individual TB's pretty sweet. I looked at swapping one inot my old 325i but it was way too expensive.

Just curious, why do people always flash their hazards or brake lights when they race? I floored it next to some Nissan sedan on the freeway the other day when he was pacing me to see what he'd do. I let off after a second or two, then he kept going and flew away, flashing his hazards a couple times.

I fail to see myself falling into the "prey" category anytime soon.
