what are you guys using for music DLs? i stopped using kazaa when they required you to rig your comp with ads to run it. i use Shareaza now, whats everyone else using

yeah i think bittorrent owns everything for non music if you know the right places to go. i just DLed WinMX its pretty good :thumb:

oh and i tried DC++ first, and its pretty crappy that it requires you to share like massive amounts to get on a good hub. i dont share crap, thats how you get caught. One of my friends dads is a big IT guy for some company, he was telling me about the RIAA crackdown and stuff. basicly then cant tell if youre DLing it, but if youre uploading they have you. they have people that just go on Kazaa and DL off people, if part of a song came from u, youre busted.

so just a warning to people, dont share, only DL

I cant stand WINMX, I use ARES, its exactly the same as kazaa but w/out the spyware and other crap. ive had no problems so far.

I use kazaa lite k++, i havent had a problem with it yet. No ads or spyware and searches multiple networks. So in other words u dont exit and load it again and get different results. It also has a download acelerator built in. I highly reccomend it.

anyone ever heard of limewire?

i use it and i think it might even be better than kazaa :thumb:

I'm using an ftp server to dl music and other apps, check it out some time.

I was using kazaa lite, but everything new out there now a days... is just a bunch of currupt files.

A friend recommended limewire and i've been using it now and haven't had any problems. Mostly download music with it.

I was using winMX when it first came out a while back and didn't like it because there wasn't as much selection of downloads....but that was a long time ago...so it may have got better.

I use Aries Gallaxy its the best ive found to use very simple and great to use, its free w/o spyware, and its set up the same way kazza is

Ip/Port/Login?

I could always look at it when I get home and if theres a specific type of song/music that was requested I could always upload while I'm away from my computer.
;)

FYI to you Suprnova BT users.

Public trackers are bad, because they have your ip and all that good information in them. If you're an avid user of Suprnova I would suggest to stop considering my friend got a subpeona for downloading a movie off of there.

Just a heads up.

Kazaa really sucks ass lately. I use Kazaa Lite, so I don't have any spyware/adware. Anyway I tried downloading the new juvenile song, i kid you not - 15 times!!!! And 8 of them were different file sizes. EVERY SINGLE ONE was corrupt! So I jumped on Overnet and even tho it took 20 minutes I got the whole uncorrupted song! Do you guys remember AudioGalaxy, that one where you search for a song on the website then it puts it in the audiogalaxy program? Man I got a shitload of songs from their!

DC++, Soulseek or EMule

Possibly Kazaa Lite K++

LimeWire - Sucks
WinMX - Sucks
Ares - Sucks
Morpheus - Sucks
Kazaa Lite - Sucks (Yes, even regular lite has spyware, K++ doesn't)
Kazaa - Sucks
Grokster - Sucks
Gnutella - Sucks
Bearshare - Sucks

'Nuff said.

And for the guy bitching about sharing, so far, I've found out they only check the following:
-Kazaa (Includes KLite)
-Bearshare
-Grokster

Really? I did't think they monitored BT. I don't use any P2P currently except emule sometimes. When/where does you buddy have to appear in court? Curious because this is the 1st time I've heard of someone getting a subpoena for Movies.
