rear camber question 1g

i have seen that with a 2g all you need for the rear is some washers and a longer bolt, is this the same with a 1g? can i just make a "home depot" camber kit for the rear? i did a 2in drop by the way. thanks for the help. *EDIT* btw i tryed to search, so please dont tell me to search, after about 5 pages of comming up with nothing i kinda gave up.
 
nope completely different rear suspension sorry. you can buy camber adjustment arms from somewhere maybe RRE has them idk you'd have to look. but the awnser is no

The 1G rear suspension has adjustable rear camber. The adjustment range is only about 1.5 degree, which may not be enough for a large drop in ride height. It's better than nothing. Beware that adjusting camber will change toe also, so toe will need to be corrected, too. Fortunately 1Gs have adjustable toe, too.

If you need to adjust the rear camber more, check out TabooSpeedShop.com he has a mod that lets you adjust camber even more.
 
yeah i know about the taboo speed shop camber kit, but its like 60 bux. has anyone ever just cut the lower controll arms? i have heard you can just cut like 1/4" off of it and weld it back together, any ideas on this? i have the resources to do this and it would be alot cheeper. but at the same time i want everything to work properly.

It's possible to do this. Just hack the upper control arms in half and weld or bolt them together with a space in between them. Home Depot has metal bars you can experiment with. Good luck.
 
Just a small detail, to fix the camber on a lowered car the upper suspension arm needs to be modded so it's longer than stock.
 
i had the same problem when i droped my talon. i got these bushings from whiteline and they work great. a few guys on here use them. it was hard work for me cause my rear camber bolt was frozen on the stock metal bushing....here just check these sites out.
