Basically 10k with help

BJ's JS1 longblock 8k
Even a std bearing PTE 1k max
Shep trans. 1k +/- depending on options
4 bolt rear ? depends on junk yard skills
Tuned with AEM via an AEM factory tuner. AEM would find someone to do it free

Hmm sounds like bjs or buschur.. I'm sure a guy there named Tom could have made insane power on the AEM. Then a guy named John could have taught him how to keep the trans together yet eat up the 60'. Maybe trap 100mph in the 1/8. Hey thats 25mph slower than johns car...

Now I don't much care for vishnu.. About as much has he likes DSM's or drag racing but even he could do better with that car than the Dr.

I thought it was funney when the civic pulled up to do a burnout and did a 1 wheel peeler , I was pretty drunk but when they installed the nitrous kit on the Talon did they mount the bottle sideways in the hatch? isn't the bottle suppost to face the frount?

i ran low 8's in the 1/8th mile all night long with just a 3 inch baffled exhaust baffled 3 " magnaflow muffler (costnig a total of 327)

and a 10 dollar MBC of ebay @ 15psi....

It's supposed to have the top of the bottle facing forward, and elevated. That way, under hard acceleration, the siphon tube is always sucking up liqiud nitrous, not gas.

that show was SO sad.... what did they do to the dsm.... did they even change the turbo ??? they didnt even touch the motor all i seen was suspension and a frontmount and an exhaust and NAWWWZZZZ and that crap....

they put over 10 grand in that stinkin honda !!!! and they didnt even go for the main stuff TRACTION !! that honda blew.

if they would have put 10 grand into each car and given them to people that knew what they were doing (Shep buschur or even 3/4 of the people on dsm tuners !!) that dsm would have tottaly smoked that honda. that frontmount was TINY !!! big waste of a show...

that chic also posted everything she had done to her car on the net that was funny............ they found that right away and changed the dsm setup... and the sad thing was they didnt care about the guys motor in the dsm !! they were like yeah we will just leave it stock and throw a 125 shot at her and hopefully it makes it down the 1/8th mile... that was bs........................................


so lets compare... stuck ATLEAST 12 grand in that honda.. and what 3-4 grand into the dsm if that ?? id like a list of what they all did to that dsm.

Every system I have installed has listed this as a option, granted if it was sideways, under hard accelaration, facing forward would ensure that, it would mantain feed. But as long as the bottle sits with the top upright, and the tube pickup in the 6 o'clock positions, it is always fed

man, the second they did the interveiw woith AWD kid i wanted her to win. even my honda friends wanted to beat his a$$. also didnt they say her car beforehand had 220 hp? turbo D's will work when done right. they detuned her car, jesus. 5 minutes into the show i was disappointed with the DSM AND the Honda. i also highly doubt that she was unaware of the potential of the B16/B18. she shoulda went turbo, again.

when he said nitrous i could only think of fast and the furious, by god, hes right outta F&TF
