Hi,

I got a couple of questions about my wheel and tire setup. I am going to be running 17 x 7.5 Kosei K1 racing wheels with the 93-94 AWD front brake upgrade, and a 1.8 inch drop. I got a couple questions:

These wheels have +35 offset, will they fit without any rubbing?

Should I run 225/45-17 tires with them or 215/45-17 tires?

Thanks a lot,
Bill

I've got a set of 16" k1's (can't recall the offset) with 205-55-16 tires on them and they do rub with the Eibach sportlines I am running currently. They clear the brakes great, but they do stick out kind of far and tend to rub during cornering. I think that a lot of it has to do with the blown shocks that I've got right now, if you are running AGX's or something similar then you should be okay.
What suspension setup are you going with?

Hi,

Thanks for replying. I plan on running the Eibach Sportlines with the KYB AGX's. What camber kit(s) are you using, and are you using both a front and rear camber kit?

Thanks,
Bill

right now i'm not running a camber kit b/c it's not my daily driver, but i do plan on getting the one from www.taboospeedshop.com later on. i've heard nothing but good things about them. with that combo you will not need a front camber kit, just the rear. all 1g awd's have real bad negative camber in the rear with an ~2 inch drop, but the fronts are not bad at all.

the agx's should keep you from rubbing though, especially if you use a stiffer setting.

Hi,

Awesome man thanks for the advice and the info, very helpful. Do you think I could run the 225 that I asked about earlier and not have any rubbing issues like you said and do you think 225 will fit right on a 7.5 inch wide wheel, I have done some research and I think that should be fine.

Thanks,
Bill
