I used to have a greddy type S and i would surge going from WOT to part thorttle.. i so bought a hks ssqv... car feels a Lot better, doesnt buck at all when i let off... but my BOV does flutter, even when the Hks idle screw is backed out all the way [loosest]... Am i surging? or just flutter from my front mount? Should i ditch this BOV? but it feels sooo much better....

basically waht im asking is .. does flutter always mean surge?

Thats just a HKS. They all flutter. It has to do with the way its designed (dual valve). Adjust it so that it opens on a hard rev. Don't worry! It is so much better!

i'm not familiar with the HKS, but i had the same problem with my GReddy Type s, now matter how i adjusted the screw. I fixed the problem by running a hose from the lower nipple on the GReddy back to the UIP. i was told you can run the line anywhere between the turbo and the BOV. I just tapped it in just above the conection to the IC. no more flutter. :thumb:

Mine used to flutter too. It is because of the chrome T-fitting that comes with the blow off valve. It is too small in diameter and it dosen't flow enough air. Ditch it for a larger diamter T-fitting and you'll have no more flutter. Good luck:thumb:
