Online play is kind of unorganized if you ask me. You go into a room, choose what kind of race you want to do and then challenge someone, they can either accept or decline. And that's it. Not much for chatting between players. I think the online menus need to be better if you really wanted to get critical.

On the other hand.......IT'S STILL FUN!! (That's what really matters)

I finally got the game. Its very cool and is well worth it. Its not GT3, but it could be the racing game of the year, easy. Wish I could upgrade from the Civic I have though, I want my Eclipse!

I duno Elipse aint that fast.Complete 1st stage (with Turbo and Nitros) Eclipse is is faster on the drag srip but, complete 1st stage (with Turbo and Nitros) Toyota Selica has higher speed.I did test them since I unlocked all 1st stage power upgrades and these are the results on drag strip "14th and Vine":
Eclipse 28.77s - 177.22mph ;Selica 29.45s - 180.06mph
"note that this result are made with out DRAFTING,wich I consider as a hack and not rteal results"

Well, I finally got my PC upgraded to a P4 2.6c gig w/ a Radeon 9800 Pro. So, I went and bought this and is it sweet! It works awesome with my force feedback wheel and it looks JAW DROPPING at 800X600 w full details! I'm just tuning my 1st car (VW Golf) with stage 1 turbo and other nice mods and it's starting to take care of biz. I had a cool picture in Turbo Magazine and it looked sweet! It had Speed Freak on it with my Golf hauling ass! Best racing game ever.

actually, despite every dsm fiber in my body, i used the miata second time around. used it from the very beginning up untill the rx7 was unlocked and not using the eclipse at all. both the miata and rx7 are rediculously agile and have very good top speeds in the game. i will never degrade myself by using a civic in the beginning again

you guys are going to get stressed out once you get into the harder races...you have to take every turn perfectly and enter them at the highest speed possible. I think it starts around the 80 level. I remember when I had to race the dude that stole Samantha's car, I had him by like 8 sec because at one time he was right next to me and I pushed him into the two pillars on that canal section...he went head on. I took every turn after that without hitting anything and as fast as I could and he still caught up (minimal braking, out+in technique).

BTW Seclica is faster them miata.I play with miata too,cuz it was the fastes one in the begining.I test drove them all on the drag strip befor and I already knew wich one was the fastes.But on the other hends at single player Selica is faster then Miata, and have higher top speed too.
The fastes car so far is Rx-7 but it is hard to launch after complete 1st stage engine mods + Nitros.How do i know what lever am I on?
I just unlocked NISSAN Sentra SE-R spec V .

Yea dude, I totally agree. I'm pretty much stuck in the 80's right now. The races are so freaking hard it's not even funny. I take every turn so smooth without hitting anything and they still stay on my @44 the whole time. Even if I bump them into oncoming traffic they still manage to catch up like nothing. THIS GAME IS RIGGED! AHH.

go to options and turn off catch up, just dont hit anything or they are gone:laugh:

PS2 version was way too easy to beat I thought. We got through it in two weekends of just playing from early afternoons till the parties started.

Alright, I went to Options and looked for the Catch-Up thing but I can't find it anywhere. Maybe the X-box version doesn't have it? I don't know.

there is no such thing like catch up ops!!!!!!

Its a cool game, but sometimes I feel like its rigged. I'll be in first for 5 laps and then on the last one right before the finish one of the other cars sideswipes me into an inmovable object. I almost broke the controller ( thankfully Microsoft made them big and sturdy ). I've been playing NFSU until I freak out then I switch to Invisible War for a change of pace. I recommend that game too. Its pretty cool.

civilian vehicle will switch the lanes all of a sudden for no damn reazon and I ll be right there in that same moment.Tell me is that,or I'll wreck at the wall in the last damn corner.
BTW This Eclipse sucks.I think u messed up the sport with PIMP look.

I feel your pain, once you advance to the 80'/111 and up be prepared to get pissed off!
