well my sister got me to install her amp today. but i couldn't do it becasue i could not figure out how to get the 4ga power cable throu the firewall so i can pull it into the foot well!!!!. I sent it thou that groumet off from the left of the battery but i pushed a foot of cable in thier but look behine the dash and stuck my arm the farest it oculd go to try to find it and i just could not find it anywhere. i am so pissed now i am going to have to take off next sunday to finish the job grrr.... and it strated to rain so i could not do the other stuff. anyway if any body could help me out i would preciate it alot. thanks

my sisters car is
1992 laser 1.8 NA

A lot of the time when you push the cable thru it goes under the carpet, I'd pull the carpet back a little at the top and shine a flashlight up there to see if it's under there somewhere.

i took my glve box out and pulled the carpet away then drilled a hole from the inside towards the engine and when i shoved like 2 feet of wire through i couldnt find it anywhere i think there must be two firewalls or something. I just ran mine through the door after like 3 hours of not being able to find a spot.

the easiest way to find it is.. from the inside out to the engine.. shove a straightened hanger through the hole and watch it come out through the engine. Pull it out through the engine.. get some electrical tape.. tape the end of the hanger to the end of the power cable.. tape the #@%#@%#@%#@% out of it.. and pull the hanger through from the inside.. and voola!. Thas how I did it.... heheh =D

i did not find A HOLE FROM THE INSIDE OF THE CAR GRRR... so if u know where some are please tell. some poeple said to run it where the steering coloum is. is that a good idea?

Look down by the gas pedal. Down there you should see a firewall. Just search down there in that corner and you will see it. Push the wire through there and you should have no problem...

i found a rubber thing down there i popped a hole in that baby and it did the trick for my amps..and my alarm...its down by the gas, brake, and clutch just keep lookin rounf down there....

here's what i did. first i pulled that big plastic cover thing from under the passenger side of the dash. then i pulled up the carpet and made a gap under that thick rubbery mat that goes way up under the dash. then i loosened that grommet behind the battery, and started to push the wire (i think, either the wire or something more solid) from the engine compartment into the car downwards. then i went and shoved my arm way up under that mat inside and felt for the wire. more difficult than it sounds, as i spent a while jamming my arm up there, there's not a lot of room. this way you're under carpet right away, and you'll never see the wire after install. also, drivers side has the gas door and hatch levers, they might get in the way if you want to run your wire to the trunk.

it is really easy get soem black tape and hanger, fish tape, ect... tape one end to the 4g wire get in front of the car see the big circle plug with all those wires just pop it out put the hanger and 4g through then get one the other side and it will be under the passenger side take the foot plates that hold the carpet one where you shut the door run the wire under that then push it under the back seat flod down the seat then cut off the rest of the wire run a ground from the seat bracket and the rca on the opp side of car not with the power wire , this is the best way to wire for me

welli did it and i put it thou the steering coloum worked and now its kicking and kicking good. infinity all around hehe sound real nice. i need some new speakers for my car :)
