I just got a 90 gst and I wanted to disable the starter kill switch that makes you push in the clutch pedal every time you start the car. I did it on my 2g but I am not sure how to do it on the 1g. I am sure there are many of you out there that have done this, so I am sure somebody's got some advice on this, I tried the search but couldn't find anything at the moment. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i was wondering how to do that. i have a 2g. i couldnt find any info either.what do i do

I did it by cutting 1/2inch off the end of a paper clip, make a U-shape.
Just stuffed it in next to the wires where they plug into the switch.

It's cake once you realize the switch isn't where the connector is, and that the switch -which cannot be touched by anyone more robust of build than Michael Jackson (without the glove)- has its own little mini-harness leading to it, with the connector right at the rear of the clutch pivot. Only took me three months of trying to unplug the switch before I saw that goddamned connector watching me the whole effing time.

Paper clip? Take that out and throw it away. The clutch switch goes to ground, once disconnected there's no need for any circuit.... unless you want to get clever and wire that up to a no-start antitheft switch hidden someplace.

Cool, so basically the 1g switch is the same as the 2g just on top not on the side huh? I'll go do that tonight, thanks everyone for your help.

 you got a point man hahah

If anyone has a good 1G clutch switch, I need one. I tested mine the other day and it read a constant 3 ohms, should read around 12V or more. I was wondering how even with it connected, I could always start the car without the clutch:confused: Now I know:) Thanks guys.
