Okay I have 2 questions.................

The first is I just had 2 1/2" catback Exhaust put on my 90 Eclipse GS 1.8 ltr. and I had the cat hollowed out and I put on a DTM stainless muffler with 2 1/2" inlet and 2 3" outlets that I purchased from Gtracing off of ebay................. but anyways I would like to quiet it down a little b/c sometimes it's just to loud.....................anyways any ideas would be cool.

The second thing is my trans seems to not grab as good after take off I know I only have a 1.8 ltr but it just seems like their should be more kick when I shift into 2nd and up..............also I just got a new Sachs clutch put on a few months ago.............oh also the trans kinda makes a whir sound when I accelerate not very noticeable though.

Thanks for any help.

what condition are your motor mounts in? and what about cv joints? As for the loud exaust why on earth did u put a 2.5" piping in that'll rob so much torque and give maybe 10hp to compensate for the -30+ tq.

I know I have heard about the torque loss but nobody told me until after I had it done.................What can I do to get the torque back (new cat?)...........also how do I check the motor mounts and cv joints?.......

Thanks

my 5 spd tranny was making a whirring sound, so i checked my tranny fuid. it turned out i had maybe 2 cups of grear oil in there OMG so after i drained it i put in new oil and voila problem solved. oh and also i put in synthetic for the first time, and then i got a leak, so i'm gonna try the normal stuff and see if i still got the leak.
